A lushly illustrated deck of 25 cards and accompanying explanatory book guide us through the mysterious and arcane world of Celtic animal spirits. Unlike most rival decks, which focus on Native American ritual, this pack presents the viewpoint of traditional Celtic magical practice, and takes you on a journey through a rarely discussed shamanic system. Along with intriguing background material on the lore and attributes of each animal archetype, you'll learn how to locate a personal familiar, or power animal, and interpret the spread from a practical, mental, and spiritual perspective. The animals presented include the mad March Hare, associated with the coming of spring and new life; the Owl, considered the "death bird"; plus the Bear, Cat, Dog, Raven, Swan, Goat, Lamb, Mouse, Pig, and 14 others.

The Celtic Animal Oracle Book and Card Pack based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
The book starts out with some information on the history of using animals as personal messengers then goes into how to use the cards for divination, finding a familiar, ect. It's got some pretty useful information for beginners in this part and is very clearly written and easy to follow. Then it goes into the details behind each of the individual cards, including information on the specific animal's history and what the cards message is. The information there is informative and helps the reader to understand why a certain card stands for something. The overall layout is nice, making it attractive and easy to look up something specific in the book. The art is very well done. The cards included are sturdy and not likely to rip apart easily. The box included isn't the most secure and the top likes to pop off at a moments notice. All in all though, an interesting and easy approach to begin working with animal oracles.
