I really wanted to like this book, I swear I did. Unfortunately, although the whole “best friend’s little sister” is a trope I enjoy, in The CEO’s Seduction it just didn’t work for me. My main issue was that by 47% mark, Brett and Anna’s back and forth thing, along with Brett’s hot and cold attitude made them become the epitome of that Katie Perry song. By the time they actually got together I really didn’t care anymore. Brett and Anna’s older brothers (there are four of them) were best friends. By the time little Anna started catching Brett’s attention he was sworn to keep his hands to himself by her brothers, a promise he kept no matter what. With a difficult childhood, Brett became a hard man who was out of touch with his feelings, with Anna being the only person to make him feel. Anna was a sweet, upbeat and charming girl who had been in love with the boy next door since the beginning of time. With both of them in her oldest brother’s wedding party, she sees her chance to finally make Brett notice her. Brett struggled too much with the blood oath he made to Anna’s brothers, but I understood he didn’t want to mess up with her and fall back into his player persona. Regrettably, it took him so long to finally sort himself out and go after her that I lost my interest in the story. Also, Anna’s brothers, who were supposed to be Brett’s friends, kept acting as if he was the bottom of a slime barrel, mistreating him and outright insulting him every chance they got. This I found not only annoying but also unbelievable, and it really made me not like the whole story much. The CEO’s Seduction had some really sexy scenes and Brett and Anna were, at times, really sweet together. Unfortunately, the whole indecisiveness and the brother’s attitudes kind of ruined it for me. This is not a bad book in any way, but in the end, it just didn’t work for me. *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*

Diane Albert's new series starts with a classic plot of a little sister/older brother's best friend. Brett had a rough childhood after his parents died. He was raised by his aunt and uncle who provided a roof and little more. The bright spot in Brett's childhood was his friendship with the Hamilton family, including his best friend Chis and Anna the only girl. Anna developed a crush on Brett, but he never saw her more than a friend. He left their hometown to run his father's business. Brett returns for a wedding and is dumbstruck when by his attraction to Anna. She never got over her crush on him and proposes a wedding hookup. He agrees but keeps their affair secret because he doesn't want to Anna's brothers to know their affair. Soon Brett begins to develop feelings for Anna but we he win her brother's approval? This is a fun, fast read that is both sexy and romantic. I liked how the main characters relationship developed. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

3 stars The CEO's Seduction was a good read. I enjoyed watching the relationship unfold between Anna and Brett, they had a strong connection and their chemistry was amazing. Why then only 3 stars? Anna's brothers... Damn those guys drove me crazy with their antics and overbearing protectiveness. It was just too much and it did affect my overall enjoyment :( Overall, The CEO's Seduction was a good read and a nice start to the Hamilton Family series. Looking forward to the next book.

I do love the best friend/sibling trope. And this one was highly entertaining. Anna's brothers were way overly protective, a little too much for me at times. But really what would you not do to protect the ones you love? I loved Anna's determination and pursuit of Brett. She saw the real him and loved him anyways. Their past stories were so sweet. I loved how he acknowledged her and what she did for him. He was a little frustrating at times with his insecurity and indecisiveness. But I guess I need to be a little more understanding due to his past. But I loved the ending when he finally got it right. So any frustration with Brett was worth it. I hope there will be more to this family because Anna's brothers sure do deserve a crazy, wild, smack-him-over-the-head love of their own. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

sugary sweet and full of love This is one trite and sweet romance. Very stable and one that you can pick up quickly how the story will go. Brett was now a CEO of his dad’s company; he is very handsome and knows this. There are some emotional scars from his younger years but now as the CEO adult he is, he finds that he is not able to give any true emotions, not able to give love freely. There is some sort of freezing hold on him to give love . Untill he's best friend's wedding and he reunites with the Hamilton family again, especially Anna, the youngest sister. Their jouney is one that kicks up feelings that he isn’t supposed to have toward best friends younger sisters , you know, the “bro code” and all. Anna has carried a strong torch for her brother's best friend, Brett, for many years and now she can finally show him how she truly feels and let go of her feelings for him. Its now or never and now looks really good. The heat between them is white hot but the only person holding back is Brett. Will he let the only person who has truly ever loved him get away because he needs to honor of her being off limits and his feelings of self worth? This is one of those reads that will have you ooohhing and ahhing while at the same time wanting to hit the hero over the head for his being so silly. The ending will have you loving how Brett and Anna got their HEA. My Rating: 4.1 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

After his parent’s died Brett’ s aunt and uncle became his guardians Brett's aunt and uncle did not love Brett more like hated him but they loved the money they got for him. They did not buy Brett new clothes or what he needed and Brett was made fun of. But there was always someone in Brett’s corner and it was Anna who was his best friend Chris’s younger sister. Brett did make it through H S he just didn’t feel like he deserved to be loved. Brett became the C E O of his father’s successful company and he still supported his aunt and uncle no matter how wrong they had been to him. Brett felt that is what his dad would want. There was something about Anna that cracked Brett’s hard exterior. Anna has always had a crush on Brett and her four older brothers all knew it. Brett was coming back to his home town as Chris was getting married and Brett was one of the groomsmen. It had been a long time since Brett had been back. Brett was now a ruthless businessman. But even Brett would not go back on a blood promise to not touch Anna. Chris is marrying Nina. Anna is a speech therapist and she loves working with the kids. Brett is a reclusive CEO. Brett could only remember feeling free and happy when he was with Anna. Growing up the way he did Brett had learned a valuable lesson: don’t trust anyone. Never let anyone close and more importantly you are better off on your own. So Brett learned to keep a cool clear head at all times. Brett never wanted a wife or child. What would happen to the child if something happened to Brett and his wife. Brett’s lawyer that handled Brett’s accounts who had been an old buddy of his dad’s kept pushing Brett to do his duty and get married and have an heir so Brett’s father’s company didn’t die with Brett. Brett felt he wasn’t capable of caring, that he was empty inside. Brett was very drunk when went to find his room in the Hamilton house Brett accidently went right instead of left and unknowingly ended up in Anna’s room caressing Anna while half asleep. Then Brett realized where he was and that the naked woman next to him was Anna and he stopped. Before Brett left Anna’s room he told Anna to stay away from him as he would only hurt her. Anna wanted to show Brett he wasn’t empty like he thought he was. Brett’s childhood may have told him that he wasn’t worthy of love but that just wasn’t true. Anna wanted to show Brett there was a lot more to life then just work and loneliness. All her life Anna had been waiting for Brett to see that they belonged together. Even though this had the very familiar plot of best friend’s sister.I still really enjoyed reading this story. Brett still had a different background that formed who he was including with Anna. So that gave the story a bit of a different spin. My heart went out to both Brett and Anna as if I was there and knew them. Especially Brett to have so much hurt. But it all comes together. The story showed it had always been Anna for Brett and Brett for Anna all the time they were growing up into adulthood. I loved the characters in this story and and the ins and outs. I recommend.

This is a new series by Diane Alberts. You will always get an entertaining story from this author. Brett Ross reluctantly comes back home to be in his best friend’s wedding. His hometown doesn’t bring back happy memories other than visiting his best friend’s family which includes the little sister, Anna Hamilton. It’s obvious from the beginning that Brett has long denied feelings for Anna and of course, her crush on her older brother’s best friend is obvious (if not also predictable). I found the overbearing-ness of the brothers a little extreme. And it was frustrating that Brett felt so unworthy and couldn’t explain to Anna how he felt. However, the steam factor was strong. Although Anna was a strong character – I would have liked for her to stand up more for herself. And Brett almost lost her by letting misunderstandings get in the way. So although this was an enjoyable read – there was plenty of frustration to go around as well. It will be interesting to see the other Hamilton brothers fall in love. May their love lives have less interference than they gave their little sister’s! Received copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Three stars. Brett Ross left his small town years ago and never looked back. After his parents died he was taken in by an aunt and uncle who totally neglected him, interested only in his inheritance. Bullied at school for wearing dirty clothes and not washing, his only friends were the Hamilton boys who lived next door and their little sister Anna. Now he's a successful businessman but his childhood has scarred him and made him closed off. Back in town for Christopher Hamilton's wedding (which of course takes place over an entire week) he can't help but notice that little Anna Hamilton still has a huge crush on him. Brett has always adored Anna, ever since she looked after him when he was a child, but he made a blood oath to her brothers that he would never lay a hand on her. Why would he? He is too broken to ever give any woman what they need and deserve. Let me say I am bored to tears of the hero being broken and unable to love - why don't we ever get a heroine who feels that way? Also Anna can tell when Brett is fake smiling and unhappy on the inside but she can't tell when he's lying? And don't get me started on Anna's four older brothers! On what planet do four 30+ year old men act like 16 year olds and threaten ONE OF THEIR FRIENDS for looking at their sister? I could just see the flashing lights saying "one of these will be the next book". And yet there were some tender moments (wine coolers and cookies) and I did enjoy reading the novel, I just felt that I had read this book, or several just like it, lots of times before and I didn't think Diane Alberts brought anything new to the equation. Having said that I will still probably read all the other books in what appears to be a series. I received a free copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is new author for me who really knocks it out-of-the-park with this home run read! The CEO’s Seduction has it all in this friends-to-lovers/second chance romance. This is a fast and fun, sexy hot number that gives us plenty of what we love within its covers: passion and chemistry, excitement, not to mention the taboo of one falling in love with their older brother’s best friend. I do have to say my one and only issue with this story was the extreme over-protectiveness of Anna’s brothers...other than that, this was fantab! An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

This is the first novel in the Hamilton family series and, quite simply, I loved it! It tells the story of Anna Hamilton who has loved her brother's best friend, Brett Ross, for years and what happened when he returned to his home town for the wedding of his friend, her brother. It is years since he's returned to his home town or seen Anna but when they see each other again the chemistry is still explosive. However, he promised her brother to leave Anna alone and he's reluctant to break the bro code - but Anna has other ideas and they're definitely ones her brothers, Eric, Wyatt, Cole and Chris, won't approve! As details of Brett's childhood are revealed, you just have to feel for him! He's built himself a fortress around his heart, determined to protect it and never let love in because love hurts. Anna, however, won't let him do this and she's just the one to scale and break down those walls - but only if she can escape the scrutiny and protection of her older brothers! This is a poignant, moving story - with some laugh out loud moments along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys family based romances. I can't wait to read more in this series and see how Anna's other brothers succumb to love! Many thanks to the publishers for gifting me an ARC of this novel via NetGalley.

I really love reading books by Diane Alberts. She has a way of drawing readers into her stories and keeping us there till the dog barks to be let outside or the kids start whining that they need to be fed. Brett had a crappy upbringing, after his parents died, he was "raised" by his aunt and uncle who didn't care about him So Brett spent this time next door at the Hamilton's house and was best friends with the four brothers and Anna, the only girl. Anna always had a crush on Brett but he had made a blood oath to NEVER touch her. Now that he's back for his best friend's wedding, Chris Hamilton, he finds an Anna that he's very attracted to and hard to keep his promise. Due to his reputation as a playboy, none of the Hamilton brothers want him near Anna. This was such a great read, watching Anna and Brett fall for each other as her brother's must learn to either accept it or come up with a plan to bury Brett in their back yard! My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

I'm a little at a loss here. This book started off great. We meet Brett returning to his hometown, the one he ran from as soon as he could. He lives in Atlanta now and a very successful businessman. Coming from absolutely nothing, raised by his aunt and uncle who didn't give one single damn about him after his parents died. His only "family" were the Hamiltons next door. 4 brothers and one younger sister Anna. Anna who crushed on Brett in a huge way. Anna who always saw through the mask Brett wore. Brett is back because the oldest brother Chris is getting married. Anna greets him at the door and it's been a while since they've seen each other and there are subtle sparks. Being mindful that behind her stood her 4 brothers. Who all had a viscous overprotective streak. Anna is a 27 year old woman with a job and a life. The brothers do their best to sabotage any thing that even looks suspect to them as far as Anna and Brett went. It ruined the story for me. These 4 brothers, the groom included who was Brett's best friend, was the worst. Worse yet, they were obnoxious meddling little old ladies on one hand and at one point resorted to a little physical work over the night before the wedding leaving Anna to believe that Brett didn't want her. I digress. They were shallow, flat and weren't even funny. As soon as they started their nonsense it train wrecked the story. Anna and Brett could have carried the story on their own, but the brother business was too blasted distracting. One voice of reason which we didn't see enough of was Nina, the bride to be. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and that was with some reluctance was because of Brett and Anna. Mainly Brett who really grows and comes into himself in the story. I've read the authors other books and they're all great. This one just didn't fly at all with me. **advanced reader copy provided by NetGalley and Entangled in exchange for a fair review**

The CEO's Seduction is first in a brand new series by Diane Alberts called the Hamilton Family. The story is set as the celebration of the youngest Hamilton brother Christopher's wedding to Nina is taking place, but the love story is between Chris's best friend, Brett Ross and Anna Hamilton, the baby of the family with four domineering and overprotective brothers. Everyone knows that Anna has had a major crush on Brett for most of her life, but they also know that Brett had a less than stellar childhood which left him a mess emotionally so they aren't convinced Brett can give her all the love she deserves. Likewise Brett has always had a soft spot for Anna, but never believed he was good enough for her. Plus there was that pesky blood oath he'd given to her brothers to stay away from her back when they were teenagers. It wasn't difficult to keep that promise when he was living hours away and busy being the CEO of a large corporation but being back in his hometown and face-to-face with Anna is more temptation that he can resist. Despite her brother's attempts to interfere, Anna is determined to make sure Brett realizes just how much he means to her. Brett cares about Anna, but he isn't sure he knows what love is or how to show it the way she deserves and doesn't want to hurt her. These two working out their happily ever after was definitely a battle of sorts, coming with quite a bit of angst and miscommunication. But in the end true love wins out. Cute story with some very sexy scenes and great start to a new series! 3.5 stars ~Complimentary copy downloaded from NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I have to say that this was one of the first stories I have read where I wanted to smack some of the characters for being into someone else's business so much! I thought that the story line flowed really well and that the characters were well developed and we see Brett discover so much about himself though the story, which was really nice as well. Brett is a young man that was given a rough start after his parents died and his Aunt and Uncle take him in to raise him. His Aunt and Uncle did not care one thing about what he did or even having him. They were just filling an obligation that was given to them. Brett became best friends with the neighbors and ended up spending most of his time over there with them growing up. There was one girl in the house and that was Anna. Knowing where Brett came from, Anna could always see through Brett and seemed to connect with him, but were the feelings mutual? When Brett comes back home for the oldest brother's wedding, he of course runs into Anna right off and things seem so different between them now. What is this spark that Brett feels between them? Does Anna feel it as well? With 4 older brothers, Anna doesn't really have a chance with dating anyone, especially their long time friend that they grew up with, without her brothers being all in her business. I did think that the brothers went a little too far with being in Anna and Brett's business. I understand being protective as brothers but there is a line. I loved seeing Brett grow as a person and find out more about himself. The growth between Brett and Anna is nice to see as well. I thought that Diane Alberts did a great job with this one. I am anxious to see what else the Hamilton's have in store for us!

I really enjoyed this one! Excellent characters and writing make this best friends little sister story a fun one to read. Brett Ross had a terrible childhood but the one thing that got him through it was his best friend Christopher and the entire Hamilton family. He knew Anna Hamilton always had a crush on him but he made a blood oath to never mess with her so she was/is off limits. Now Anna is all grown up and staying away from her is harder than ever. How will he ever get through this wedding with Anna being, well, Anna??? A great book and one I highly recommend!

"This was just a show of friendship from him, but to was everything. He was everything to her. And he'd never understand that." The CEO's Seduction is a quick, yet sexy read. This story is a fantastic friends to lovers romance with a forbidden flare to it. The CEO's Seduction is entertaining and pulls you in from the first page. The chemistry and tension between Brett and Anna will captivate you and have you rooting for their happily ever after. I loved Anna's over protective brothers and could not wait for Brett to finally open his eyes and finally claim Anna as his....

This is a fun and sexy read that I just loved. Brett and Anna were childhood friends and Anna has always had a not so secret crush on him. Brett had a horrible childhood and feels incapable of love, so while he knows of Anna's attraction, he has vowed never to act on it. Add in Anna's overprotective brothers and a wedding and you have all the ingredients for an entertaining and engaging novel. The author has taken a simple premise and woven a wonderful tale that fans of the genre will love. She is on my must read authors' list.

Eric, Wyatt, Cole and Chris were idiots. Their protectiveness of Anna started off adorable but quickly morphed into obsessive. Many times I wanted to yell "Get a life of your own." The CEO'S Seduction is part bro - romance, part romance and severely emotional. Anna was a strong woman who followed her heart despite the obstacles. Brett proved a frustrating conundrum. He drove me bonkers with the back and forth, yet he captured my heart with all the drama he'd endured. I literally ached for the lonely boy with the broken spirit and the man with the closed off heart. Diane Alberts turned emotional into excellent. Am looking forward to more from the crazy Hamilton brood.
