Despite being a smart, beautiful & successful businesswoman, Presley Cabot always had one huge regret in her life and he just moved back to town. Everything came easily to golden boy Nolan Banks- he was a rich, handsome athlete and Presley adored him. Until the night he devastated the shy, overweight girl by sleeping with her on a bet. When she hears he’s opened a bar in town, a plot takes shape to seduce and discard him as payback for the humiliation he caused. Her plan to play hard to get and leave him wanting more works all to well and Nolan is soon drawn in by her sexy style & sassy mouth. The problem is, Presley begrudgingly finds herself falling for him all over again & wondering if he could love the awkward girl hiding beneath the glamorous surface. Nolan is all charm & determination as he pursues Presley and works to prove his love for the “real” her. Their biggest challenge is overcoming the hurt and misunderstandings of the past to get a second chance at the love that was stolen from them. This book put a cute, new spin on the rom com movie “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days” with a tip of the hat to “Sweet Home Alabama” as well. It’s a fun, cleverly written love story with plenty of sweetness & spice.

If you took out the sex this was a good book for young teenager with low self-esteem. I found it boring and almost embarrassing to read.

The Charm of You by Jennifer Probst is a sexy and sweet romance! I was a sucker for Presley and Nolan from the very beginning. Presley Cabot is not the woman she was in college. She is a woman to be admired and respected; I certainly did. She took control of her life and made it a success. In college, she was overweight and in love with Nolan Banks who was a track star. One night in college, she laid her heart and body bare to him, and he shattered it into pieces. Yet, Presley pulled herself together and decided never to let that happen again. It was that self-determination, strength and perseverance that enabled her to become such a success. She never lost herself. She constantly gives back and made it her mission to help women. Although a part of my heart broke for her because her trust in men was completely gone. I wanted to really dislike Nolan. As I got to know him, I, like Presley, began falling for him. He completely devastated Presley and continues to in a way because he can’t even remember her. As the story unfolds, that night may not be exactly what Presley thought it was. Nolan matches her in the department of determination and perseverance. Now, the target is her. He feels a connection with her, and he isn’t about to let her go. As the synopsis said, Presley is determined to make him pay for what he did to her and how he made her feel. She has the goods to do it. However, she can’t help but fall for Nolan. Who wouldn’t? He’s sexy and charming. Through the flashbacks of their college days and through Nolan’s own POV, Probst showed us Nolan’s secret weapon is his heart. Probst weaved together a great book with just the right combination of sexiness and sweetness, along with a hero and heroine you will fall in love with!

The Charm of You deals with a lot of issues regarding body image and self-perception as well as the pressure to societies views of what is considered attractive. Presley constantly struggled with her weight growing up, aside from her abundance of curves, Presley is one of those women who is beautiful from the inside out. However, following a particularly harsh incident, Presley's self-image and confidence took a complete nose-dive. However, Presley formed an amazing support system in college which enabled her to take life and her body issues by the horns. Transforming herself into the powerhouse of a woman she is today. Although she still has moments of insecurities regarding her inner 'fat girl' for the most part, Presley is living her best life even with the emotional barriers she has firmly in place. It isn't until her past comes strolling back into town in the form of Nolan Banks that Presley has to confront the walls she has built around her heart. Nolan is utterly adorable and even though he has lead a 'golden' life he is naturally self-depreciating and humble, never taking his good fortune for granted. It is, for this reason, difficult to see him taking part in the incident that destroyed Presley so many years ago. Although Nolan is physically attracted to Presley there is also the feeling of a deeper connection which Nolan has never felt before.  I absolutely loved the way in which friendships and support systems were portrayed within The Charm of You, Jennifer Probst has the best female friendships in her stories  especially when they incorporate real life I'm wondering if a fashion therapist is a real thing because it really should be. Revelations bring a new perspective to both Nolan and Presley; but can they really put the ghosts of the past that are haunting them to rest and move on to a future together????!!!!

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...Revenge is sometimes bittersweet.. Due to misunderstanding Presley is set on giving Nolan a taste of his own medicine that she was humiliated for...Nolan doesn't know what happens and he fights for her regardless of how she resists and come to find out the truth of what happened that night she feels the way she feels..I felt for Presley and understood her. We have a cute story, and liked the secondary characters hope we get a story for them

Everything came easy to Nolan Bamks. Sports, friends, women....everything. He worried so much about the good in his life, that he often wondered when it would all end. On the other hand, Presley Cabot worked extremely hard for everything she had. When her best friends finally talked her into "letting loose", they end up at a frat party. There Presley sees Nolan, her crush from class. Although they're friendly, there are no shared romantic feelings on Nolan's part. But after a few drinks and more, Presley finds herself being led into Nolan's room.... Fast forward several years....Presley has returned to her old college town as a successful billionaire. She and her girlfriends are owners of LWW Enterprises. Nolan has also returned, after leaving a lucrative yet unfulfilling job on Wall Street, to open The Bank. The Bank is his dream and he's been perfecting his brews for years. When Presley finds out Nolan is back, she and her friends hatch a plan to get back at Nolan for his lousy treatment of Presley at the frat party. Let the games begin....until they're no longer games. Unbelievable, yet believable. Curvy, then fit. Insecure even when highly successful....Presley was every one of these and more. She was torn between who she was, who she became, and how she "thought" she was perceived. She couldn't seem to mesh all these facets of herself into someone she could love or feel worthy of love. Through Nolan's support, love, and persistence, Presley slowly comes around only to suddenly break up with Nolan. I absolutely loved Presley's grumpy, without coffee side. Although Nolan had no recollection of his mistreatment of Presley, he certainly makes up for his previous actions. This was an inspirational story of how one can overcome personal struggles to become their best self. Be kind to people because Karma is a "b". I also loved the "golden boy done wrong" twist!!! I can't wait to read more about Presley's girlfriends. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

I loved Presley and Nolan's second chance love story. Nolan was charming as he tried to win Presley's trust, and ultimately her heart. The Charm of You was a fun read with entertaining banter. I hope Nolan's brother Carter gets his story told next.

It’s been awhile since I’ve read a story by Jennifer Probst, so when I read the blurb for The Charm of You, a romantic comedy with heart, I knew I needed to read it, and even though it was a bit too predictable, I enjoyed Presley and Nolan’s story and could picture it being told on the big screen. Through Jennifer Probst's characterization of Presley, we receive a clear perception of the awkward college student Presley was and the heartbreak she endured when one of the most important nights of her life turns into a humiliating experience; we see the confident CEO, sharp-minded woman Presley becomes when she follows her dreams, embraces her passion for the written word and surrounds herself with a small group of like-minded and dynamic woman who share Presley’s vision of success, but the version of Presley who I enjoyed the most, even though she wasn’t supposed to show this side of herself in front of Nolan, was the one who let down her walls and was not the seductress planning revenge, but she was the honest and open girl whose wit and snark as well as her easy going personality made Nolan want her even more. The image of Nolan that readers receive outside of the college flashbacks is nothing like the man that Presley remembers, which is why I’m glad Probst allowed us inside Nolan’s head; it adds a layer to the story line and makes readers feel like there’s more to their past than either of them know, so when Presley and Nolan cross paths almost 10 years later, it’s understandable that Presley needs closure when it comes to what went down between them in order to prove to herself that she’s over Nolan and how he made her feel, but her plan for revenge and how she wants to play this game with Nolan seems to fade away when Presley interacts with him, which will make readers question their past and what it means for their future. As Probst takes readers back to the college versions of Presley Cabot and Nolan Banks and lays out the night that not only changed everything between them but also served as a lesson to Presley and fueled her desire to be in total control of her own success and self-perception, it’s made beyond clear just how much that night broke her, but, in my opinion, what it also does is allow readers to understand the underlying circumstances of that event and how there’s another side to that night and Presley and Nolan’s story that will alter EVERYTHING between the older versions of them both. After I finished reading Jennifer Probst’s newest release, The Charm of You, I reveled in the female empowerment that drove Presley and her friends to reach the level of success they did as well as the close bond these women formed when they decided to believe in one another and become everything they wanted to be and then some. What’s also made clear is how some people struggle with how they perceive themselves and allow others to tear them down, resulting in an unfulfilled life and requiring a complete change of perception in order to be in the present instead of dwelling on the past. There’s several powerful messages in Presley and Nolan’s story, and the way Probst laid out the storyline, offering a continuum of flashbacks amidst the characters’ present interactions allows readers to completely understand the reasons behind Presley’s actions and her need to put Nolan in his place once and for all. 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

5 When Revenge Gets You Love Stars!!! I'm not sure I can find all the words I need to explain the mad love I have for this book. I laughed I swooned and I fell hard not only for Nolan our Hero who we find out is so much more than what's on the sexy and hot outside, but I'm IN LOVE with Presley Cabot!! This woman is fierce, intelligent, has business savvy, is loyal to her friends and is incredibly beautiful inside and out! And this book is the story of how Presley seeks revenge on the man who hurt and humiliated her while they were in college. The thing is though, Presley has changed in so many ways that Nolan doesn't recognize her and I could feel the pain this brought her. So she sets out to make them even! Ms. Probst does a phenomenal job of giving us flashbacks to their college days and what happened with a seamless ease. I was so engrossed in the story because the flow is perfect. I loved how Nolan was so attracted to Presley and no matter what she says or does he's going to get this girl because for him, she's "the one".... "Even though my may fight me, I'm kind of stubborn when I want something. I've always loved a good challenge, and you, book goddess, are the ultimate challenge." I could go on and on about how much I love this book, but I won't do it justice. Here's what you need to know.... this book will make you believe in love. It will make you laugh and maybe even shed a tear. You'll root for our Hero to get his girl because he's going to prove to her he can be her everything and sees past what's on the outside, even though what's on the outside is stunningly beautiful! Bravo Ms. Probst, Bravo!!!

A second chance romance and a romcom mixed together can only mean one thing lots of laughs. I love how these characters interact with one another. Their banter alone is very entertaining. I could listen to them go back and fourth all day. There is a bit of a twist that makes this second chance a first chance at love. Love can truly change a person. It can make them hard and closed off or wear their heart on their sleeve. You really can’t tell where all of this will go until you finish the story. An act of revenge could be the end to true love or prove that love was there all along. I love Jennifer’s writing and how her books give you all the feels. It really adds to a book when you can feel the emotion right along with the characters. I look forward to reading more from this talented author in the future.

Through a witty narration and scenes nicely described, in “The Charm Of You” the talented writer Jennifer Probst brings to her readers the story of a woman who carries romantic dreams, honest feelings, and a fierce capacity to overcome her vulnerabilities. Presley Cabot could be any of us. *** When Presley Cabot spent the night with her true love, Nolan Banks, she was thrilled and never imagined that there could be something wrong about a handsome and charming guy being interested in an awkward, overweight college girl like she was. So, when she learned on the next day that it had been nothing more than just a bet for him, Presley got destroyed. Almost a decade later, she had become the billionaire CEO of Ladies Who Write Enterprises, a smart, sexy and gorgeous woman who was able to overcome her lack of confidence and blossom in both the dating and business world. But now that Nolan was back in town, all the bitter memories came back full force to haunt her together with the image of those laughing blue eyes. She realized that even after all those years, the pain and humiliation he caused still seared into her soul. The truth was that Presley never got over him. As a plan started to form in her mind, she saw in this event the opportunity to close an important chapter in her life and figured that revenge would be the only way to exorcise his ghost once and for all.

I could not put this book down, and I was left wishing this book was about 8 more chapters! I loved how this story dipped into the awkward phase of college crushes and fast forwarded to the mature adult still trying to figure out how the whole LOVE thing works! I wish that it didn’t focus on the ‘overweight girl’ who transformed herself by losing that weight … that story is overdone… but so intrigued by her quirky friends who, through thick-and-thin, love her and support her for who she really is. I felt Nolan’s story wasn’t quite told, and I was left wanting to know more about his big move away from Wall Street, his reunion with his brother and more about his sister! So many side characters needed their stories told as well… hoping Jennifer Probst picks up at least some of those characters in future books! A definite enjoyable read with lots of fun, flirty detail told how only Jennifer Probst can! ~ARC Review~

The Charm of You is Jennifer Probst's newest fun, sexy, second chance romance. Jennifer is one of my go-to-authors and I love her writing more and more with each book. She's also a funny, great person in real life! This second chance story has all my favorite things. Fantastic writing, fun, likable characters, sexiness, amazing movie references, fabulous clothes and beer. Presley and Nolan have a history. One she hasn't been able to forget and it's the reason for her insecurities. She thought it was all behind her until Nolan comes back to town. When all of her memories come back and begin to crush her, she and her friends develop a plan. Make him fall for her then dump him! Her friends are hilarious and fiercely loyal. They help get her dolled up and she dazzles Nolan to the point where all he thinks about is the sexy Presley. He doesn't recognize her and that just fuels her fire. But the more time they spend together, the more Presley falls for him again? Can Presley let the past got and trust a future with Nolan? What happens when Nolan finds out about their shared past? I loved this story! It's funny, sexy and sweet. They had a connection all those years ago, and the chemistry is still there. Nolan does fall hard and fast for her, but it didn't seem unrealistic to me. He recognizes something about her and she just calls to him. I loved their flirty banter and it was fantastic when Presley let her guard down. She thinks she was being a sex pot and pretending, but Nolan always saw the real Presley. Overall, I laughed out loud, cheered, got hot and bothered and read it in one day! I'm hoping we see more from these women! I loved the girl power! "You're new." "You're hot." "I know." "You're the type of woman I want to linger with. Sink into. Dig deep. One I definitely would not want to let got, especially from my bed. "Presley, I'm very good at sex. Trust me when I say I know how to satisfy a woman." "I believe you." "No, you don’t. I'll have to prove it to you." "What about your sister?" "Hell no, she gets allergic the moment she's around a pot or pan." "I'd like to meet her. She sounds like my kind of person." "The two of you could rule the world. I'll keep you apart, thank you very much."

Delightful story full of disbelief, honesty and discovery. Finding your soulmate is a difficult journey but very rewarding. Loved the characters, they are determined, strong and have great interactions. This is a must read! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

I enjoyed this fun, sexy second chance romance. Presley is stunned to learn that Nolan, her college crush, is moving back to town and opening a business. She was humiliated by Nolan in college and now is a successful business woman yet seeing Nolan brings back all those bad memories. Her friends coach her on a revenge plot to get Nolan to fall in love with her then break his heart. Nolan is blown away by this amazing woman that walks into his bar. There is something about her that draws him in and he knows that he needs this woman in his life. The road to revenge is never easy but it was so much fun to experience. As Presley struts her stuff, we get flashbacks to their time together in college and learn that they did connect but hearts were shattered. Is there any way Presley can forgive Nolan? Will they find that spark again and a chance at happiness?

The Charm of You by Jennifer Probst, is a fun and sexy novel. It is a fast-paced read, replete with an engaging plot, well-defined characters, and a very seductive romance. The story takes place in Port Hudson, a small college town outside of New York City. Ms. Probst is a terrific storyteller and I always look forward to her next offering. Billionaire Presley Cabot is the CEO of LWW, a women's publishing house. She and her two best friends founded the company, and their success is due to hard work and dedication. Presley used to be extremely overweight, but with the help of her besties, she lost the weight and became a real hottie. In college, she was in love with Nolan Banks, a student from her English class. Nolan was the college's track star, in addition to being smart, good-looking and popular. Presley lost her virginity to Nolan, and upon leaving the frat house the following morning, she overheard Nolan's buddies talking about her. Apparently Nolan only slept with her in order to win a bet. After a couple of successful years on Wall Street, Nolan is back in Port Hudson. He is opening a brewery. Unfortunately, running into Presley does not jog his memory about their time together in college. However, he does find her to be extremely likable and attractive. Nolan wants to date Presley, while all Presley has on her mind is revenge. Presley's plan for vengeance is a good one, however, little by little she learns that Nolan is a really good person. Ms. Probst is one of my favorite authors, and her novels are consistently sexy and exciting. Presley is a meaningful character, and I felt her emotional pain and suffering as if it were my own. Her ability to overcome was inspirational. Nolan's kindness and sincerity made him extra likable. Overall a solid read. Complimentary copy provided.

I loved this sweet, sexy, charming love story so much! Nolan was just amazing! I fell so hard for him! I really like Presley too. She is so real! She is confident, feisty and sassy on the outside but we see that is just a costume she wears and she is actually very vulnerable on the inside, at least personally. Professionally she is a kick butt business woman who has done very well. I love her group of friends who make up LWW as they are a force to be reckoned with and awesome characters. For years Presley thought Nolan did her wrong in college so when he moves back to town she is so totally up for a little game of revenge. Turns out not everything is as it appeared to be. Not even close. I’m not going to lie, I think my favorite part is when she Lloyd Dobler’s him! I loved that!!

Ten years of regret, yearning, wishing for what might have been? Presley Cabot’s life has changed since she left college, apart from still reeling over the hurt she felt from Nolan Banks. She had crushed on him big time and eventually had her heart stamped on after a badly judged one night stand. Nolan Banks gives up his family job to follow his heart. Heads back to his college town and meets local business woman Presley Cabot. He is immediately smitten with her looks, her sass and her mind. Pity he hasn’t a clue who Presley is and what she and her friends have in store for him. Jennifer has a way of writing that lures you in from the start. She makes you interested in her main characters but it the second tier characters that Jennifer excels in – albeit the best friend from college or the wonderful clothing designer. Hopefully this is the start of a new series from Jennifer and the Ladies Who Write. I would love to read more about the other players in the book.
