Overview

The Chilling Effect by Roberta Lee

Is everyone stalking suddenly famous writer Debbie Bloom, or does it just feel that way? Her soon-to-be-ex-husband and longtime lover join the paparazzi camped outside her house as a murder-for-hire plot goes wrong in a million quirky ways, drawing the attention of a lethal psychopath and a ghost who refuses to let go with love.

Wildly sexy, outrageously satirical, twisted and vastly creepy, The Chilling Effect is the sequel to Roberta Lee's The Liar's Guide and the second volume in the Suburban Sprawl series of related novels. Manicured lawns (and rehab), domestic bliss (and domestic violence), golf clubs (and strip clubs)--welcome to suburbia, circa right now! Roberta Lee's Suburban Sprawl is one scoop erotica, one scoop murder mystery and one scoop ghost story, topped with a generous dollop of wicked satire.

About the Author

Roberta Lee was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and moved to California in the early '70's. She returned to Bucks County in the mid-80's and has lived there ever since.
She is currently completing a series of related novels collectively entitled Suburban Sprawl, which are set in Bucks County, albeit in a rather surreal version of the area. Her sparkling fiction uses plots as simple as a soap opera to explore some very complex themes, and she enjoys juxtaposing those archetypal plots with offbeat humor, a glaze of sexuality and a touch of the paranormal.

Roberta's life-long interests also include painting, Tarot and I Ching. Her landscape paintings are available on her website, RobertaLeeArt.com and in many private collections, worldwide. Her guide to reading Tarot cards, The Language of Tarot, is the culmination of over thirty years of work with the Oracle, and she is currently working on a guide to I Ching.

Roberta cordially invites you to visit her at RobertaLeeArt.com and become her fan on Facebook.
