Millions of readers have fallen in love with Ava's bestselling books...come join the family.

International Bestselling Author Ava Miles shares a heartwarming and emotional novel about the magic of love and second chances amidst a chocolate garden. Chosen by B&N and Bookbub as one of the 20 Most Romantic Books of All-Time.

Visionary gardener Tammy Hollins is making a new life for herself and her children after a tragic marriage. Plants she understands, but men...well, they're of the weed variety. She's started her own landscaping business, catering to her country music rock star brother's friends. Her first client is sexy, soulful, Alpha hero material, and the one man who tantalizes her and scares her to death.

John Parker McGuiness is a man of many talents, working as a songwriter and lawyer for country music's biggest stars. He's drawn to Tammy like no other and hires her as his landscaper, wanting to show her they're made for each other. When Tammy learns he's a professed chocoholic, she fashions a magical garden for him--a chocolate garden.

As the garden comes to life, their love for each other grows. When tragedy strikes Tammy's home, John Parker is willing to move mountains to protect her and her children. Tammy struggles to guard her newfound independence as they use the magic of the chocolate garden to help her children feel safe again. But when secrets from Tammy's past resurface, can their love and passion survive the memories haunting her?

I have read all of Ava's books available, so I consider myself a true fan of her writing. Having said that, I was pretty disappointed with The Chocolate Garden. I love all of the characters, and the connection between all of her books. I found myself sooo frustrated with Tammy's decisions. Having been in an abusive marriage myself, I speak from experience. I thought she went completely overboard in her independence seeking. Towards the end, to me she was just exasperating. After my divorce, I would have died to have found someone like John Parker to sweep me off my feet, and love my children like they were his own. I thought the overall storyline was good, but I hate the way it unfolded. Call me traditional, but I happen to love books that end like a fairy tale, with marriage and happily ever after.

Very good book ruined by mandatory 20 pages of detailed sex. It may not have been as graphic as many, but it turned me off. One thing I did enjoy was how romantic the guys in the book were. Roles were definitely reversed where the guys were the good considerate characters, and a lot of the women were nasty. I loved the concept of the chocolate garden. Note to author, frogs do not trill.

This is the second book that I've read by Ava Miles and I was absolutely thrilled with it. It tugged at my heartstrings, made me angry, made me laugh and was so full of wonder. If I could go back and undo all that I have read and do it all again I would. Tammy the heroine is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after an abusive marriage that she endured for years. She and her children are living with her brother and slowly working on making changes to their lives that impact them positively. John Parker is the man that has loved her since he met her and is inching his way slowly into her life until she is ready to take the leap to love again. If Ava Miles keeps writing stories like this one I will keep coming back again and again for more. I was given this ARC in order to give an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone. I truly loved reading this story about John Parker and Tammy. Tammy made a chocolate garden at John Parker's home and I could truly imagine that it was beautiful and magical. Tammy cuts her hair and is learning to let go and just be loved. There were sad times for them but they made it through together.

Enjoyed the story line. Too much sex and it dragged on. The idea of a beautifull garden was facinating. Tammy handled her children in an icredible way.

I definitely recommend this book! I loved 'The Chocolate Garden', and I think I went through every emotion...laughing, crying, mad, sad, anxious, scared but most of all, enchanted. There is a 'poetry and magical fairy-tale' feel threaded throughout the book. Some of the feelings this book elicited were the same I felt as a child when I read 'The Secret Garden'. Who wouldn't want magical garden with fairies? I love the characters in Dare River and look forward to reading the next in the series. A must read!

I really enjoyed this book. Ava Miles puts so much thought into each character and makes the story so very interesting. The stories she writes have a touch of realty as the characters come to life in such a great and exciting way. I would highly recommend Ava's books.

I can't say how much I hated this book. The characters were overdrawn. Predictable. Tedious. Tammy wanted a man of faith. I'm not sure what faith she was looking for, but it's not one with which I have any familiarity. Can't say much for her motherhood. We read this in book club and nobody liked it much.

Not my cup of tea. Tammy and J.P.’s characters were wimpy and kind of boring. The rest of the family characters help up great.
