The Christmas Spirit A charming fairytale type Christmas love story by Patricia Wynn. Nook Story Pages 116 If you are looking for a book with a Christmas theme, I recommend this book. This story is captivating, full of magic and is an imaginative narration told by Francis the elf. A heartwarming tale with humor, adventure and romance. Matthew Dunstone is only a shadow of his former self. He returned from his travels abroad to find his reputation destroyed and his fiancée, Helen, married to his traitorous partner Sir Julian Speck. Matthew is sick physically and mentally and at night he is tormented by nightmares. Believing that Matthew Dunstone was drinking a wee bit to much – prime game for an elf – Francis appears to Matthew who believes he is hallucinating and invented the elf. After Francis the elf introduces Matthew to his free-spirited sister Trudy, who assumes the identity of Faye Merriwether, a romance begins to develop. As Trudy/Faye starts to realize she may be falling in love with Matthew, she starts questioning what would happen if she loses her heart to a human? She decides to ask Old Christmas for help. After Matthew discovers Trudy/Faye is really an elf he begins to wonder if he can be happy married to an elf? This is an enjoyable, magical Christmas holiday story.
