The faithful never pray alone. Our prayer, even in private, is always is prayed in communion with those who have triumphed, those who suffer purgation, and those who still struggle all over the earth. Prayer links us to Christians throughout the world and throughout Christian history, as we utter the same formulas and prayers as they do and did, for example, the Divine Office, the Sacraments, the Mass, the Rosary, etc. These and many other treasured Catholic forms of prayer are discussed in this book.
