Revised and updated for the 21st century: the legendary resource on the universality, spirituality, and grandeur of the post-Vatican II Catholic Church. Filled with detailed information that will fascinate any Catholic (What is a zucchetto and who wears one? Why do cardinals have their title in the middle of their names? How do the Knights of Malta serve in the modern Church?), it's also an indispensable reference for scholars, journalists, and anyone in business or government who has practical dealings with the Church.

While the book does contain much good information, there are several egregious errors about indulgences. Pope Paul VI removed ALL years months and days and replaced them with plenary and partial indulgences, yet the author insists this is not so. He clearly prefers the 'old ways'.
Fantastic book, it gives a lot of insight into the catholic church and it's symbolism.
The text is updated from the original release. Too bad it was published in 2012 and not 2013 ... I'm sure the next edition will have a lot of new material regarding a Pope that resigns! Sadly the wonderful pictures from the physical book are missing from the Nook version. (lose a star for that)
