It would be hard to find a more useful resource book for students of the Civil War! Anybody with plans to examine part of the vast literature about this tragic period MUST have this book!
I believe this is one book, that is a must for any person interested in learning more about the Civil War. It continues to be an excellent reference in over fourty years, and its numerous periodic updated printings. Consider purchase on your next quest to your local bookstore on the war, that has close to a hundred thousand books written.
