THE CLIENT: A PLAYING DIRTY second chances, STAND ALONE Romantic Comedy from USA Today bestselling author Pamela DuMond.
I'm an underpaid assistant working at a matchmaking agency, surviving on Insta-Ramen and dreams. How is it possible that I made a love match that resulted in the society marriage of the year?
Christmas season is upon us and I plan on enjoying this gorgeous wedding by drinking too much Champagne, eating 5 star food, and relaxing for a change. I don't plan on running into the smoking hot, tuxedo-clad brick wall of a man. I don't plan on him stopping my fall by grabbing onto my boob and Not. Letting. Go. I most definitely don't plan on this gorgeous man being my new CLIENT.
Joe is heir to the Delacroix Hotel fortune, whip smart, hilariously funny, and so yummy. I am tempted to... good God I want to... but sleeping with clients is a big, fat 'No-No.'
Aren't some rules meant to be broken?

4.5 Stars. Set in Chicago, this is a delicious romance featuring a hot wealthy guy (millionaire? billionaire? it's not clear, just that he's got plenty) originally in disguise as a Hot Waiter. Joe is the sexy boyfriend we all want, and Charlotte is adorably earnest and somebody we are pulling for to find happiness. Disclaimer: I'm acquainted with the author IRL. Charlotte and Joe both had trouble not so far in the rear-view mirror, have steaming hot chemistry, there's lots of humor and hilarious situations, and the ending is just what the reader ordered. Highly recommend.
This was my first book by Ms Dumond and I have to say, where has she been hiding? I’ve been missing out on a superb writer and that is a shame, but one I’m slowly going to correct. The Client was sweet and sexy with a hot stud of a hero, the quiet type of alpha rather than in your face domineering. Charlotte is a junior matchmaker with the White Gloves Matchmaking Agency and first meets Joe, well bumps into him at the wedding of the first couple she had matched. Sparks fly from the first moment, Joe thought she was a wedding guest, Charlotte thought he was a waiter, a Hot Waiter as she nicknamed him. Neither knew the truth about the other. Charlotte left before Joe even knew her name and was obsessed with finding her again. Fate brought them together again- the elevator scene is one of the funniest I’ve read in quite a while, but there were lots more. The sexy times where hot and sweaty and the rest just melted my heart. It’s only after becoming friends with Joe’s grandmother that Charlotte finds out who Joe really is. Then Marte decides that Charlotte should find a match for Joe as she wants to see him married before she leaves this mortal coil. There’s a no fraternizing with clients clause at her agency so now Charlotte is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Her job or Joe. Joe’s determined he’s going to get what he wants and what he wants is… Charlotte. Will they get their heart’s desires or will they be forced apart by circumstance?
'The Client' by Pamela DuMond is the story of Charlotte and Joe. Charlotte is a match maker who made a great match that got her name out there. While at the wedding party she ran into Joe and it was a wet encounter. Joe had drinks in his hands and she ended up getting her dress ruined. Charlotte did give him her first name but that was it. They ran into each other again a the Gym where Charlotte was given a pass. Joe started working their after he had an accident and when his Grandmother, Marte Delacroix told him to work there. Joe is very close to his 83 year old grandmother and she is actually a very funny busy body. I really enjoyed the grandmother character. Joe hasn't been in a relationship in a long time other than his quickies at the Library aisle. They are both attracted to each other and this builds into something more. I really enjoyed their story and will be looking for more books by Ms. DuMond.
