Austin and Jennifer, two very colorful characters that light up this book like fireworks! I don’t want to give away any details, but this book flies along with an action-packed pace that keeps you turning the pages. Smart, beautiful people who aren’t exactly following the rules have us rooting for them from the sidelines! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

This book had several turns mixed with a developing romance. Mix a con family, a con, an ex cop, and an isolated con against two criminals and see what comes out the other end. Take a weekend off to read this book .

***4.5 Stars*** Wow! What a great beginning to Mallory Crowe's newest series. I am already waiting with bated breath for book two. This book focuses on Jennifer Murray. She has two sisters, Toni and Melody and a slightly eccentric mother who has invited them to her wedding. Years have gone by without them seeing each other. Jennifer meets a man on the plane who claims to be an attorney on his way to the same wedding who is delivering the prenuptial agreement for the couple to sign. They are very attracted to one another and you find out very early on that he is not who he portrays himself to be. He is actually a thief and con artist, one of the world's very best. You see, the bride will be wearing a borrowed necklace worth thirty-million-dollars and he is there to lift this monstrous diamond for a job he's doing. Little does he know that Jennifer and her sisters were taught from a very early age by their mother to be thieves and con artists, as well. Their mother has gotten them to her wedding, not to be a part of it, but to help their mother steal the diamond so they would all be set for life. This book has a lot of suspense and it kept me on my toes. I am quite certain I'm going to love this series. It's a detour from her earlier writings and I truly enjoyed it. You can rest assured that anything written by Mallory Crowe is an excellent choice.

The Cocky Thief is a fine addition to the Mallory Crowe library. Austin Miles is the aforementioned sexy and charming thief who meets his match, the gorgeous Jennifer Murray, in this action adventure romance. Sizzling chemistry and surprising twists are just part of what makes this book a great read. This book also introduces Jennifer's sisters who will soon be starring in their very own exciting romantic suspense stories and I can't wait! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I'm hooked! That's all I can say! This has to be one of my favorite Mallory Crowe novels (and she has SO MANY good ones). There was action, suspense, adventure, tongue-in-cheek moments, and lots of hot romance! Jennifer is such a strong female character and Austin is irresistible. They are a perfect match and have such wonderful moments throughout the book. I am just so excited for this series and to see where it is going to go. I am sure we will get to see more about the other characters introduced in this book, especially Jennifer's two sisters Toni and Melody. Bring on book 2! I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy.

Interesting and Entertaining! A great start to a new series with a few familiar faces! I enjoyed this interesting twist of following along the journey with thieves! Such a well written story... Austin and the others truly come to life... page after page drew me further and further into the story! A fascinating group of characters! See what happens in this tale full of danger, suspense, and romance! Loved the little hints of more things to come! Looking forward to future books! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of the book.

Con man to con woman. The pairing of Austin and Jennifer was excellent. I am so used to reading about the good at heart bad guy and the good, wholesome girl, or the good at heart bad girl and the good, wholesome guy. I loved the concept of the basically good cons that are attracted to each other. A fast paced, romantic suspense, heavy on the suspense. Someone in a previous review said that this is not a book you want to start late at night. Did I listen, NO? Was I up all night reading, ABSOLUTELY! I could not put it down. I hope Melody, Toni, Weston, and Hart get their own stories. Also, the ending was the icing on the cake. Truly enjoyed this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.

THE COCKY THIEF is the first installment in Mallory Crowe’s contemporary, adult STOLEN HEARTS romantic, suspense series focusing on the Murray sisters-Jennifer, Toni and Melody- a trio of professional thieves whose latest high stakes contract is both deadly and rewarding. This is Jennifer Murray, and Austin Miles’ story line. Told from several third person perspectives THE COCKY THIEF focuses on a theft that goes horribly wrong. En route to her mother’s wedding Jennifer Murray will be introduced to Austin Miles-a man who claims to be her future step-father’s lawyer but a man who has been hired to pull off a thirty million dollar heist. What ensues is the building relationship between Jennifer and Austin, and the realization that there is more than one thief attending the wedding nuptials. Jennifer Murray comes from a family of thieves and cons. Their latest assignment finds the sisters, and their mother, working together for a payout that would set them up for life. Enter Austin Miles, a professional con man and thief who must work with the sisters when things begin to go horribly wrong. The relationship between Jennifer and Austin is one of immediate attraction but Austin knows that to get involved with a potential mark could spell disaster for his business. Jennifer’s reluctance to pull off the heist is compounded by her attraction to Austin, and her desire to keep peace within the Murray family. The $ex scenes are seductive and intimate without the use of over the top graphic text and language. We are introduced to Jennifer’s mother Isobel, and her sisters Toni and Melody, as well as James Weston- a hired gun; and ex-cop Scott Hart. The requisite evil has many faces including Isobel’s future husband Gregory Stranger, and billionaire businessman Jonathan Sterling. THE COCKY THIEF is a story of action, adventure, romance and loss, but I was hoping for a more detailed resolution to the events that occurred-a theft of that magnitude should have generated a more thorough and ongoing need for retribution and revenge-perhaps there is more to the story in an upcoming installment. The premise is entertaining and engaging; the characters are colorful, dynamic and energetic; the romance is provocative and moving.

I loved reading the exciting and intriguing romance novel by the fabulously talented Mallory Crowe. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book. Austin is a handsome, sexy thief and Jennifer is a beautiful, stunning con woman. Austin and Jennifer both have a crime to commit and need to be focused on their goal but the attraction between them is unavoidable. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of suspense and romance, and a must read love story of Austin and Jennifer.

*****I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book***** The story was covering the upcoming fake wedding of Isobel Murray to Gregory Stranger. Greg Stranger is sleazier as they come with money laundering, corruption and fraud. Isobel Murray is considered the queen of deception, corruption as well as a professional thief and she raised her daughters (Jennifer and Toni) the same way with the exception of Melody. Melody Garrett Murray chose a different and quieter lifestyle for six years until her divorce. Austin Miles was threaten and hired by an obsessed ex-cop set out for revenge from the Fractured series to infiltrated the wedding and steal a precious jewel that when his life changed. Austin was a professional at stealing, he is one of the best in his line of work with his reward being receiving a portion of the payoff until he met her (Jennifer Murray) that's when the sparks were set off. Jennifer was just as good if not better in her profession as Austin was ;however, she allowed him to take the lead in their plan. There is so much more to this amazing story that I'm omitting because the story took on many interesting twist and turns with suspense, kidnapping, romance, humor and trust issues between the characters but doable. This is the initial book in the Stolen Hearts series and I love it! I truly recommend this series to anyone seeking suspense and adventure.

The Cocky Thief is Mallory Crowe newest romantic suspense book in The Stolen Hearts series and its a winner. This story centers around two different sets of professional thieves each trying to steal a multi-million dollar necklace from a merciless tyrant. Holt (from the Fractured Farrell series) is an obsessed ex cop seeking revenge for the murder of his wife and Austin Miles a thief Holt has blackmailed into helping him to stealing the necklace, is team one. The other team of thieves are the Murray women, Isobel the mother and Jennifer and Melody, her two daughters. Last but not least is the “victims” the tyrant (Sterling) and his co-conspirator (Stranger). Jennifer and Austin first meet at the airport on the way to Jennifer's mother's “wedding” and its lust at first sight. How they work out their different issues and finally get together makes for an electrifying adventure with lots of breathtaking exploits. This was both a wonderful romance and a great suspense story. Having read this book I can't wait to read The Beautiful Thief” the next book in this new series.

The Thief and the Con Woman. Wow, what a story with non-stop action, mis-direction, double-crossing and sex. Really loved this - I think is my favourite of Mallory's books to date. Thought the epilogue where they were recovering stolen property was a stroke of genius; they still get the adrenaline rush but are no longer out and out crooks. This is the start of a new series, with two characters that appeared in minor roles in Relentless. The underlying thread to the series appears to be the criminal Killion Group and it's evil owner Jonathan Sterling and I hope by the end of the series he will get his comeuppance. Isobel Murray matriarchal con woman, has three daughters - Jennifer, Melody and Toni all of whom play a role in this story but the romance (which is hot) is between Jennifer and Austin. Melody gets hers is the next book 'The Beautiful Thief' and Toni hers in 'The Dangerous Thief'. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to give an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
