$19.95. ref With such an abundance of nutrition misinformation available, it would be nice to have some cold, hard facts, and here's an excellent source. What sets this book apart from other well-received works, such as Jane Brody's Nutrition Book (Bantam, 1987. rev. ed.), is that this truly is a reference tool. Its alphabetical listings, some of which are accompanied by charts or tables, are well-written, easy to understand, and give just the facts. Of varying lengths, many listings are cross-referenced. Opinions are confined to accepted, mainstream medical opinion. The index allows quick access of information. A requirement for public and special collections, at a very reasonable price.
