No gung-ho ``alternative'' health book, this interesting title offers a gentler approach. It does, of course, focus on natural therapies, out of the mainstream in America (this book, by the way, is from Great Britain), but explains alongside the more conventional methods of treating various ailments. Offered are an overview of natural therapies, such as acupuncture, naturopathy, and hypnotherapy, and an A to Z of disorders; included also is elementary advice on nutrition, exercise, and ways of dealing with stress. Public libraries collecting holistic books will find this informational work on the natural therapies a good choice. Carol Spielman Lezak, General Learning Corp., Northbrook, Ill.
