The Complete Patents of Nikola Teslaby Nikola Tesla, Jim Glenn (Editor)
Nikola Tesla created astonishing, world-transforming devices that often were without historical precedent. Tesla introduced the fundamentals of robotry, computers, and missile science, and helped pave the way for such current technologies as satellites, microwaves, beam weapons, and nuclear fission. Yet Tesla remains one of the least recognized pioneers in scientific history.
The Complete Patents of Nikola Tesla brings together in one volume all of Tesla's patents isued in the United States. These patents have been arranged in chronological order by date of application. This presentation offers new meaning to Tesla's work by providing a logical sequence of the inventor's thought processes in the development of new principles, some of which are still in advance of today's technology.
In the words of his biographer, Margarety Cheney, Tesla was "like Einstein an outsider and like edison, a wide-ranging generalist. where others stopped short, aware of what could not be done, he continued. The example set by Tesla has always been particularly inspiring to the lone runner.
