Saskia Roth is the stereotypical starving artist. She's failed as an original artist. She's failing as a reproduction artist. So why not try con artist?

A local art collector and tech tycoon with far too much money for his own good has taken Saskia's bait. She's promised to steal a nude he covets from a private collector, but plans to substitute her own forgery instead.

But which one of them is really the mark?

This book just keeps getting better every time I read it!! One of my favorite books! I bought it again for the teaser scene for her upcoming book in January and ended up reading through it again last night as well as devouring the teaser for The Escape Artist.

This is a classic Kitty Thomas story, in that, you have no idea what to expect and follows no storyline you have ever read before. Saskia gets caught before she even knew she was being hunted. She is ensnared by desires she didn’t realize she even had. Saskia is set free while being enslaved, and her captor knows her better than she knows herself. But he isn’t careful enough, and she knows him, catches him, and makes him completely hers while he is taking her control. They both fall victim to the other by the end, and are as lost, as they are fulfilled, in being together. Perfection!

It was very interesting concept. Nice plot. I wanted to hear more about Marcus though. I don't think readers of a dark romance genre will be disappointed

I suck at writing reviews they always end up sounding like book reports. So I am going to keep it short and sweet. This book gave me the feels, all kinds of feels. As an artist I could relate to the heroine Miss Roth. Her thoughts about artistic talent was dead on point. Whether we wield the pen or the brush or the digital pencil all artists have those moments of self-doubt and that ONE fellow artist they idolize. Miss Roth was no different she was vulnerable and shy yet had a mouth on her. The male characters were all endearing in their own way. I LOVED every single character in this book but Lahlan... the feels! The Con Artist is a fantastic read !
