This is a great new alternate reality where superheroes and villians are common place and the greatest hero can be the wisecracking slob sitting across from you in the subway. A truly inventive new writer who's universe is on par with Simon R. Green's Nightside. This was a fun fast read, I devoured it in one sitting, just could not put it down. Whether you are a comics fan or just love a good action story(with comedy and romance thrown in for flavor)you'll really enjoy this book (and hopefully many more from this talented new writer)

My attention was held throughout the entire book. I laughed, gasped and cringed. A very smart read and to make it even better, the ending gave me chills, that's when you know you've read a good book.

This story is full and suspense and great action. It leads you in and intoxicates you with a world everyone dreams of. A world dominated by Heroes and Villains. Follow the main character through a story filled with suspense and intrigue and watch as he overcomes his normal abilities to become the greatest hero among gods and demons alike. This represents a fresh departure from the average comic based tales of damsels in distress and muscle bound guys who circle the globe to turn back time or leap buildings in a single bound. The main character is a hero who is a superb contrast to the norm yet possesses the skills and abilities to better all of his peers. It is dark and fun story that will have you thinking about what it takes to be a true hero. I strongly recommend this to all readers and especially comic book aficionados who long for a dream world where heroes exist around every corner.
