This was a pretty good book. The settings in the book are very cool. I like how it transitions to a bunch of different places like Easter Island, a Gnome’s house on the Kingsley’s property, Nixie Lough (the royal city of the Real of Imagination). These places are described very well and I could picture them in my head as I read. I really liked the character of Grandpa Kingsley. He sounds almost as cool as my grandpa (which says a lot!). He’s a great guy too, very wise. The writing style was fun and appropriate for all ages, but I think the length of it may turn some younger readers off. There were a few places I felt that the story got bogged down in details (mostly at the beginning) about minor things that could have been cut out. Overall, the story is very good with original characters, a story that keeps you wondering what will happen next and an enjoyable plot. I am excited that there will be a Part 2, but this book also ended just fine. :) *NOTE I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
