I fell in love with Reid in The Consequences of Loving Colton when he was getting tormented by Milo’s Grandmother. The poor man needed to catch a break and I am so glad I got to see the conclusion to his story. Jordan was the picture perfect girl for Reid. The invisible girl who had the back bone and sass to put Reid in his place. Rachel made this the most perfect laugh out loud story I have read in a long time!!
5 star This books pulls you right in. The story has a ton of laughs, sadness, pain, sneaky fun, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first The Consequence of Loving Colton (Consequence, #1) The Consequence of Revenge (Consequence #2) This is Jordan and Reid’s story. Jordan is Reid’s new publicist. His brother Max starts trouble and makes it so Reid and Jordan are in a pretend relationship. Max is a trouble maker and makes trouble around every turn for these two. Reid and Jordan make the most of it but the longer they are together the more each of them gets pulled deeper into a real relationship with feelings. Can they really believe all the feelings and touches will turn into more? Jordan is preparing for the relationship to end and for her to be hurt. Can Reid convince the woman who has always been invisible that she is really all he sees? Can these two really make it work? Or is it really all just pretend? I recommend this story, and this author. Can’t wait to read the next story in this series!
“Ha, the taming of the shrew. What a joke. Why tame what’s already perfect in its own wild, crazy way? I chuckled as a piece of her hair tickled my face. I’d risk it all for her. And I wouldn’t regret a damn minute.” Rachel Van Dyken has done it again!! As a fan of her Consequence series, I have been dying to read Reid’s story. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint. The Consequence of Seduction follows the story of Reid and Jordan. When we first meet up with Reid, he is in need of some PR help. That’s where Jordan comes into play. Jordan is used to making her clients look good and fixing their problems. But, when a PR stunt goes wrong, Jordan will quickly find herself immersed in one the biggest problems she’s ever had to fix. Now, she’s the one in the spotlight and lines between real and fake are starting to blur. What will happen when their PR stunt, suddenly turns into more? Will a simple misunderstanding have the power to ruin everything? Rachel Van Dyken has totally knocked it out of the park with this one. This book was absolutely hilarious. If you thought Max was funny before, you haven’t seen anything yet. He really ups his game in this book and when you put him together with Reid, they are a force to be reckoned with. You will not be able to stop laughing. You will find yourself either shaking your heard at the things Max is doing or you’ll be grabbing tissues to wipe the laugh tears away!! And don’t even get me started on Grandma. Yes, Grandma does make a cameo and poor Reid…..She really traumatized him!! All that being said, this isn’t just a funny book. This is a really great book about seeing people for who they really are and the lengths that they will go to for people that they care about. Reid and Jordan’s story will hook you from the very beginning and will keep you entertained the entire time. I really loved Reid and Jordan together. They had amazing chemistry and I loved the whole will they/won’t they vibe that they had. I loved the sweet moments. Reid was totally swoon worthy and was just the right match for Jordan. The Consequence of Seduction is a fabulous read; from start to finish. Told from dual points of view, this story is well written and paced just right. This is a book you will find yourself waking up early for and completely unable to put down. I honestly loved everything about this story. I loved the story-line and the characters. The characters…they were so much fun, easy to relate to and so entertaining. I haven’t laughed this much in such a long time. And not only was this book funny, but it did have some drama and really good romance too. I just loved it. I know, I’ve already said that, but it’s true. I loved this book. If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh and fall in love, all at the same time, I highly recommend checking this book out! *I was provided an ARC copy of this book, via NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review*
This book was so ridiculous, I couldn't help but love it! It's so silly, so funny, so over-the-top, and so completely entertaining from start to finish. While you can read it as a standalone, and completely love it, having personally read the previous two books, I can attest to the fact that this book is even better having experienced the earlier history. The prologue was the perfect introduction to Reid's psyche. Reid Emory is gorgeous, talented, charismatic, and blessed with hypnotizing eyes, making girls fall at his feet. But some unfortunate events with the elderly in the not too distant past have put him in a funk. I actually love that Reid has been in a funk, and is finally having to face a wake-up call in his life. And that wake-up call comes in the form of an invisible girl. Jordan is smart, focused, good at her job, and a bit of a clutz. But what Jordan is also good at, is not falling at Reid's feet. She's his perfect match. And as his new publicist, she's just the gal to get the job done, and get his career going where it needs to be. Sure, she might be attracted to him, but then again, everyone is. She has a job to do. But then there's the slight problem with Reid's brother's interference. Max is a crazy riot! He was hilarious in the previous books. But it seems that now that he's in his own awesome relationship, his mental status has gone off the deep end even further. The things he does in this book - just crazy at times. The things he says - eerily intelligent and psychic. The way his mind works and plots and plans - sheer genius and pure entertainment (unless you're Reid, and then you need to be afraid, very afraid). All I can say, without saying too much, is that I loved this book. It was pure entertainment. I laughed, I grimaced. I got nervous, I got swept off my feet. My stomach lurched at some of the crazy. My heart sped up at some of the tenderness. If I were a guy, I would have protected my manhood at some point. But through it all, I also fell in love with Reid and Jordan. Gosh, what a fun, fantastic match they were. Despite the ridiculousness, or maybe because of it, their love story was sweet and beautiful and sexy and smile-inducing. I absolutely loved them!
