One old farmhouse brought them together. It could also tear them apart.

Gigi has just uprooted her whole world to start a new life. The unexpected gift of a farmhouse in small-town Montana is just what she and her daughter need to escape big-city loneliness. The last thing she needs is attitude from the town’s sheriff, the most perfectly attractive and ruggedly handsome man she’s ever laid eyes on—and a complete jerk.

Jess knows all about women like Gigi. Beautiful. Sexy. Scheming. She’s stolen his sanctuary, the farmhouse that should have been his. But along with a face full of freckles, she’s got a sharp wit and a backbone of steel—something he doesn’t discover until after making a complete fool of himself. If he can earn back her trust and win her heart, he might just find the home he’s always needed.

This book is now on my list of favorite books of all time. It holds a coveted spot along with a select few other books. I read The Coppersmith Farmhouse and thought to myself how can this be the author's first book. It has the feeling and quality of KA and COHO.. This author is a hidden gem and will definitely become an extremely well known as one of the greats! The writing is stellar, the plot intriguing and captivating! I can't recommend this book enough.

THE COPPERSMITH FARMHOUSE was my first Devney Perry read and I immediately fell for her writing style. It did take me a while to warm up to Jess though. He was a bit too “it’s my way or no way” for me but my heart couldn’t help but melt at the way he treats Gigi and Rowan. While the overall focus of the story is on Gigi’s budding relationship with Jess, I liked how the underlying events taking place throughout came together for an explosive ending. I’m very much looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

This book did kind of have a KA feel to it but was missing some of her characters spun. Gigi and Jess do not have a great first meeting. In fact, he is downright rude and arrogant to her. The fact she was blatantly checking him out and he called her on it didn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Gigi should have known that someone might think she was a person who used Ben to get what he had. No one in Jamison Valley knew her or her daughter, so she should have at least had some common sense that the person who took care of Ben's house might be suspicious of her. Gigi did have a rough life and finds herself with no family, except her daughter, Rowen. She is 4-years-old and was the product of a one night stand. While I sympathized with Gigi, I didn't connect with her at all on her claim that her baby daddy was a nightmare because he thought she was trapping him and the baby wasn't his. She seemed naive to the extreme at points. I didn't understand the significance of her having a new "Explorer", although it was mentioned repeatedly. Moving a 4-year-old to a farmhouse sight unseen didn't seem all that smart to me. She didn't even book a hotel room and check it out first. For a 31-year-old woman, I expected a bit more from her. Swooning and caving when a man kisses you is not believable to me. Jess was a straight up OTT alpha male throughout most of this story. He was the town Sheriff and had no qualms with letting Gigi know he didn't like her. He realizes his mistake and does set about trying to make amends. I had some issues with his not consulting with her and making decisions on his own, but she let him get away with it. For a 34-year-old man, he sure did lack some knowledge of what a female wants in a relationship. He did seem to have a better handle of knowing what he wanted and called her out on her pushing him away BS pretty quickly. The plot was interesting, but it did confuse me a couple of times. There was no build up to Wes being the way he was. The drug problem overtaking Prescott seemed to come out of nowhere. Gigi and Jess both get caught up in it and that made the story interesting. I liked the ending and am interested to read the next one.

If you like Kristen Ashley's Burg or Colorado Mountain series, then you need to read this book. A great story of girl meets boy, boy acts like a jerk, and then boy realizes that girl is just what he's been waiting for. Jess is a definite alpha male, but Gigi is no pushover. Loved how these two found each other and love.

The Coppersmith Farmhouse by Devney Perry is the first book in the Jamison Valley series of interconnected standalones. This was also my first book by this author and I was absolutely and utterly blown away. Georgia has just completely uprooted her life moving from the big city to small town Jamison Valley. Moving in to the Coppersmith Farmhouse puts her at odds with the sheriff of all people but she has no idea why. Jess is positive that "Gigi" must have tricked Ben out of the farmhouse. Why else would he let some random woman move into it? Especially after all the history Jess has with the place? When Jess and Gigi work out their difference of opinions and start to actually get to know one another Jess turns from aggressive jerk into aggressive alpha protector and, while frustrated, Gigi just can't help but fall for him. But all is not well and safe in the small town and Gigi finds herself in more danger here than she ever was in the big city. Can Jess keep danger at bay, solve the crime problem their hometown is having, and protect Gigi?

Narrator Review: The narrator was excellent. Great voice and easily distinguished between the characters. Story Review: Loved❤️loved❤️loved! I love the caveman Alpha, but it sure is hard to find a book with one that doesn't have an over-the-top storyline right along with it. This was the perfect blend of a great story, strong, likeable heroine and my favorite type of alpha. The best part is, he wasn't being a caveman just because he could. He had reason for taking charge, but he also showed growth when Georgia called him on it and explained her side. He started to see he needed to include her in decisions. It took a bit, but he learned it wasn't my way or the highway all the time. I loved that Georgia stood up for herself. I hate reading a doormat heroine. She may not have gotten her way ever time but she still spoke up. Throw in a 4 year old girl interacting with this strong alpha character and swoon City here I come. I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could.

I loved this! It was an awesome introduction to the Jamison Valley series. I was exciting while reading, I loved the characters, and the underlying element of suspense. I couldn't stop smiling because there were just so many wonderful moments mixed in. Excellent read! I loved Jess and Gigi (Georgia) meeting, the tension and animosity between them was awesome. I really loved them coming together and seeing how sweet Jess was. He was so alpha and commanding but underneath all that was this amazingly charismatic man and I fell hard for him. I thought Gigi was fantastic too. She was so strong and determined to start a new life for her daughter, I loved how caring she was. I really enjoyed watching her open up to Jess. Together they had such great chemistry and I felt like there were just so many special moments that gave me butterflies… I love that feeling! It's just a beautiful story filled with wonderful moments as well as emotional ones that’s full of heart and I loved it. Jess and Georgia falling in love pretty much melted me. Throw in a kid and boom! I was done. I loved Rowan. I really like that she was such an integral part and was well written. I swear every scene she had with Jess had me saying “awwwww.” I loved the people in the town and the picturesque scenes the author painted of Jamison Valley. I'm super excited for Silas and Felicity’s story and can't wait to see what will happen with Maisy. I’m totally hooked! I thought the writing was excellent with great character development. There was a suspense element that was subtly building and I loved the anticipation of finding out all those details, I was invested the entire time. I also loved the time span of the story so we really get to see the characters develop and grow over time. It’s light drama for the most part but that ending was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat. Simply fantastic! It was a full, solid story and I pretty much blew off an entire day so I could just sit and read and get lost in this world. It was so worth it, I loved every second!

I loved this book! The suspense and the heat, I loved "watching" them fall for each other. Totally wasn't expecting the climax but it was awesome! You must read this series! It is fantastic and you won't regret it. Be prepared to not want to do anything else!

I LOVED this book! Gigi is a single mom who works hard as a nurse and raising her four year old daughter. Three years ago, she befriended Ben, an elderly patient who was all alone and he became like family to her and her daughter. After he passed away, she finds out he left her his farmhouse in Montana. She decides to move with her daughter to the farmhouse and start a new life. She loves the farmhouse and the small town but has one problem, Jess, the sheriff who isn't very nice to her. Jess was upset when he found out a woman would be getting Ben's farmhouse figuring it was someone who took advantage of the elderly man so when he first meets Gigi, he isn't very welcoming. Gigi is the most beautiful woman he's ever seen and he can't help being attracted to her but he's upset with her for taking advantage of his old friend. He doesn't realize at first that Gigi was a caretaker and friend to Ben, not someone who was after his money. It doesn't take long for Jess to see the kind of woman Gigi really is and to want to get more friendly with her. Besides the sweet and sexy romance, there's also suspense and a little action. Jess is investigating a drug ring that has taken over his small town. With few clues, a beaten John Doe showing up in the hospital and a murder, Jess has his hands full. I loved the chemistry between Gigi and Jess. I love stories like this where the hero is a huge jerk at first and has to make it up to the heroine. Gigi isn't the type to forgive easily so Jess really had to work for it. Jess isn't perfect, he's very alpha - demanding and bossy - but he's also sweet and loving when he needs to be. The interactions between Jess and Gigi's daughter Rowan were my favorite. There were also some really good steamy scenes. I loved everything about this book - the romance, steam, suspense, action and drama. This is a great start to a new series and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book! It's a top pick of 2017 for me and a book I look forward to re-reading soon!

Just a brilliant, lovable book which I devoured from start to finish, I simply could not put it down and thoroughly enjoyed the whole story. The characters were great, and I loved the setting of the books, with the idea behind it all. A little bit of drama and suspense thrown in and you get a pretty perfect contemporary romance. Gigi is a brilliant female character, I loved her, loved her daughter Roe, and of course Sheriff Cleary!! He was rather OTT at times and some of his demands and alpha ways annoyed me at times! Some very hot and steamy scenes too! For a debut book, this author has great things to come! Can't wait for the next in this series! 4.5-5 Stars!!

I think it is always a pleasure for a blogger to discover a new author and Devney Perry may have written her debut book but this story deserves all the recognition. I love indie romance books and this one is a fine example of a well worked story with amazing characters, a rich background and a touch of mystery! Gigi is ready to have a new beginning in her life and an inherited farmhouse will give her the perfect chance to start over. Being firstly a mom to a little girl, she doesn’t need an arrogant sheriff and his rude attitude but that is what she gets and more! Jess dislikes opportunists and he definitely doesn’t like a woman scheming to take over his favorite home. He dislikes her at first sight but as time passes, he realizes how wrong he is about the beautiful woman. When he understands his error, he will do anything in his power to set things right and convince her that they are perfect for each other. Jess is a man protective, bossy with a kind heart but a quick temper. If you had a man like this in your life, you would probably run away quickly, but in this book you get giddy to see his alpha ways and his take no for an answer attitude. He might be a little bit overbearing sometimes, but the man is sexy, powerful and he is not afraid to apologize when he is wrong. If you love Kristen Ashley’s heroes, then you will definitely like Jess. Gigi is a woman kind, a great mom and very logical. She is sassy and her banter with Jess is funny. Sometimes, she gives up easily and she appears a little insecure but she has been hurt in her past and all her fears get in the way. Also, I really liked that she is supportive of Jess when he just needs her strength. Their relationship develops throughout time and I loved how Jess is with Gigi’s daughter. There is something so sweet when a strong man is caring towards a kid. The bossiness of Jess inside and outside of the bedroom makes their story hot and his need for their protection makes it more endearing. I loved the suspense of this book, it kept me on my toes and the secondary characters of this small community are so amazing! When I read that the author is going to give us more from this world, I was just happy! This story has everything I want from a book. An irresistible male hero, a strong heroine with the most adorable little girl, fantastic writing and a swoony epilogue! Devney Perry is a new author but she has just earned a huge fan! This book is now on my top favorites!!!

I absolutely loved this book. Really reminds me of Kristen Ashley's writing (in a good way) just a slow burn, intriguing romance, that I can never get enough of. Love the character of Jess and his Alpha ways lol. Can't wait to read more.

Very vulgar and crude. Could have written the same story without being so raunchy.
