James Powell worked as the chaplain in a childrens hospital and pediatric oncology clinic in Texas for almost twenty years. THE CORNER ROOM is a collection of essays that explore his experiences there. These illuminating essays illustrate children, their families, and hospital staff encountering the dilemmas of illness, trauma, separation, and sometimes death with love, grace, and the invincible power of the human spirit.
