About the Author

Kate Canterbary doesn't have it all figured out, but this is what she knows for sure: spicy-ass salsa and tequila solve most problems, living on the ocean--Pacific or Atlantic--is the closest place to perfection, and writing smart, smutty stories is a better than any amount of chocolate. She started out reporting for an indie arts and entertainment newspaper back when people still read newspapers, and she has been writing and surreptitiously interviewing people—be careful sitting down next to her on an airplane—ever since. Kate lives on the water in New England with Mr. Canterbary and the Little Baby Canterbary, and when she isn't writing sexy architects, she's scheduling her days around the region's best food trucks.

Kate Canterbary has grasped my inner desire for a strong female lead in a male dominated world and BOOM gave her a hero to match. Woot! It’s like someone has heard my poor reader's deepest desires and delivered that and MORE! I mean COME on Will is the perfect and I mean perfect mate for Shannon. Hands down nailed the give and take, sexual tension and all the things I want in a contemporary romance. I already had a girl crush for Shannon before this book. After, I want to carry her children and worship her. She is a strong female lead - many would call a ball buster - but you get why and how she is molded to a driven and loving woman. Ms. Canterbary matches her up with a man who believes breaking and entering is permission to move in. Again: Read the series in order.Start with book one. Especially to finally understand what makes this Walsh sibling tick. I will say this book is a welcome break after the emotional ride of book 3. Each book that Kate Canterbary has delivered keeps me engrossed and turning the pages to learn more. Her characters are diverse in their real world issues so you are never bored or wanting to move on. Again a solid 5 out 5 star read for me and a personal favorite that I will re-read again and again.

The Cornerstone (The Walsh Series Book #4) Kate Canterbary This writer just gets better with every book. Will and Shannon are hysterical. I love their dynamic and that she refers to their relationship as ‘getting back to neutral’ and/or ‘scheduled sex’. There are so many laugh out loud moments between them and the Walsh siblings. I loved how two alphas came together and one didn’t lose. The being together made them both stronger. I really enjoy how well Kate intertwines the storyline with the previous books. She does a phenomenal job without losing any of the details. It is a talent not shared by many. If you are looking for some humor, some steamy sexy-times, with the reality of balancing work/life/family that doesn’t slow down then you have found it with the amazing Kate Canterbary and The Cornerstone.

What do you get when you cross a fiery redhead and a fine-tuned Navy SEAL? Spontaneous combustion! This is Shannon’s story, and we all needed to hear it. As series readers know, Shannon is the taskmaster and all around glue that holds the Walsh clan together. Sure, she’s demanding and controlling, but after rising her siblings from a young age, she doesn’t know how not to be. Shannon is so busy with taking care of the family business, and her unruly siblings, that she barely has time to think, let alone have any ideas of a love life. All that changes when she meets her sister-in-law’s brother, Will. To say it was hate at first sight is an understatement; but then why can’t they keep their hands off each other? Shannon’s story parallels the series time line starting at Matt and Lauren’s wedding, then continues on. What I loved so much about that is seeing those familiar scenes from her perspective; it sheds a completely new light on things. Shannon and Will have off the charts chemistry. Will is pure alpha, which collides head-on with Shannon’s no-nonsense personality. The bumpy road to their happiness is pure fire-works; funny, sexy, and so much fun to watch. Kate Canterbary has an extraordinary talent for being able to write characters that capture your mind and heart. She deftly conveys her deep understanding of the characters’ motivations, which is why her characters resonate so strongly with readers. Along with her flair for writing witty, snarky dialogue, you just can’t stop reading. If you haven’t been reading this series, do yourself a favor and start with book 1: Underneath It All (Matt & Lauren’s story), you’ll be hooked. I absolutely love this family!

Kate Canterbary has mastered the art of witty banter! I was endlessly entertained by Shannon and Will's playful and clever exchange of insults. These two exchange insults like it's the ultimate foreplay! Will is some sort of seriously unapologetic Alpha male. He sort of just steamrolled right over top of Shannon's resistance and emotional walls then waited patiently for her to let him in. Sexy, intense, heart breaking and beautiful, this installment brings a little more light to the mysterious relationship between Shannon and Erin, and reveals a shocking secret. I'm sure there are more secrets to learn in The Spire and I so excited to find out!

Out of all the Walshes I was super excited for Shannon. Because she was a force to be reckoned with. She was the one Walsh that seemed to take care of everyone. But herself. Then there's Will, Lauren's mysterious SEAL brother. He is pretty bossy and hot. And for the longest time, I wasn't sure if I even liked him. But he won me over. He really cared about Shannon. And they had sex like bunnies. Hot sex, so if your a little shy about sexy times, then I guess you'll be missing out. Kate's writing stays the same. It still draws me in and now I want to know more of the other siblings in the Fam. This really is a brilliant series. And I'll be sad when it eventually does end. Don't miss out on this series! It's hot, sexy, funny and pretty much the recipe of awesomeness....Lissa

FAVORITE BOOK of 2015!! I love this series. LOVE. IT. Shannon has been my favorite Walsh from the very beginning, and this book just cemented that tenfold. I was expecting a great story, but I underestimated the author's talent. Great is such a bland word for everything this book is. By 12% I was looking around for a 6th star. The sheer magnitude of both main character's personalities; their non-stop, snarky, competitive banter; a storyline that has everything from LOL funny to unimaginable pain; and the earth-shattering sex scenes, made this is my absolute favorite book of 2015. Kudos and thanks to the author for creating such an exceptional read.

I loved Shannon's story! She finally found someone that was her match and wouldn't take her bull. Who knew that she would find him at her best friend and brother's wedding? Shannon was the one that took care of her family. She had been doing it since she was nine years old and even now with everyone grown and some finding themselves in love she still was the one that made sure that all of their lives ran smoothly at work and at home. Lately however Shannon has found that she wants someone for herself and she doesn't always want to be the responsible one. She wasn't looking for love, but it found her and now she was falling fast. William knew that he should just walk away, but he couldn't. Shannon got under his skin and not always in a good way, but it didn't seem to matter. He wanted her and in all possible ways, but Shannon was bristly and abrasive. She fought their relationship from the very beginning all the while she looked forward to their few and far between visits with one another. Could William make her see that being the cornerstone of her family didn't mean that it had to be at the exclusion of her having someone in her life? I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
