Read the heartwarming conclusion to the six-part Matty Cruz Adventure series.

Dispirited Matty Cruz is approaching her first year anniversary in Couper, Washington, a tree-filled city nestled on the banks of the Columbia River—which also happens to have the highest violent-crime rate in the Pacific Northwest.

In the sixth and final book of the series, Matty Cruz goes to Mexico with her brother, Ricardo, to look for the dying father who left them when they were babies. Will they be able to reunite with him and not reveal his location to the government agent who is watching them?

Carol Karuso is off to Texas to uncover the secrets kept from her for twenty years. Will she survive a visit to her home town, and does she have what it takes to track down the truth?

Sam Bester is left in Couper, Washington to nurse his wounds and his regrets. Afraid that Matty will never forgive him for his lies and treachery, he wonders what he should do, or go, next.

When the three meet again, will it only be to say good-bye?

About the Author

R. MARQUEZ resides in the Pacific Northwest, a place that inspired her to create the fictional city of Couper, Washington, located across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon.

She was brought to the region in a similar fashion as her main character in the Matty Cruz Adventure series, and, like Matty, she had to reinvent herself quickly—but in a less colorful way.

Now that she has finished the Matty Cruz Adventure series, she is working on the Carol Karuso Mystery series.

R. Marquez’s short stories have been published in various magazines.
