About the Author

Gretchen Lee Rix lives in Lockhart, the barbecue capital of Texas, where there is an absolutely stunning courthouse and a unique library building. She helped run the Scare The Dickens Out of Us ghost story contest, is a member of Romance Writers of America, and is just finishing her fourth novel. She writes every day. She graduated with a journalism degree from the University of Houston, worked for a couple of small town newspapers and did book reviews for several years before joining Southland Distribution Center as a dispatcher for truck drivers and then Aetna Insurance as a claims processor. She is now retired and writing novels and short stories.
