The Cowboy's Second-Chance Family by Jules Bennett

Finding love twice in a lifetime

When Lucy Brooks lost her husband, her dreams of a family went with him. Now her life is a busy balance of friends, work and the demands of her small ranch. When she meets handsome, brooding Noah Spencer, she recognizes the grief in his penetrating eyes. And yet she can't deny the feelings—and hope—that he has reawakened within her.

All widower Noah has in life is his little daughter and a fresh start as Stonerock's newest police officer. Right now this cowboy needs to keep his life simple and his heart guarded. Yet he can't resist the instant pull of sweet, selfless Lucy. This could be a second chance at happily-ever-after…if they can both let go of the past.

Another wonderful romance by Jules Bennett! The Cowboy's Second-Chance Family brings together Lucy Brooks and Noah Spencer. Both Lucy and Noah suffered loses that leave them devastated and not looking for to love again, but as we know unexpected love can creep up on people. This book brings together two wounded souls working thru their feelings to reach a happily ever after. There is romance, an adorable child and an interesting cast of characters in this book to make for a great read. Check it out!!

Love after loss, when is too soon to fall in love again. Lucy and Noah answer that question in this heartwarming tale. The story is full of growth and healing after each party has lost a loved one. It also introduces us to a town with multiple possible matches for future books. The characters are very likable and you can feel their pain and loss along with the undeniable attraction to each other. I enjoyed the story and the town.

This one is a winner in my opinion. It has the combination I look for in a romance. It had the heart, some heat, and humor. Noah's little girl was precious. What a delightful bonus to this story. One of my favorite scenes in the book is with Lucy and Emma having a bonding moment. Lucy and Noah both pulled at my heart for what they had lost. It gets to you especially when they talk about it. Had some tears forming in my eyes. That's what made this one special because I was rooting for them right from the beginning. Two lost souls searching for that healing touch. I thought the epilogue was the icing on the cake. Couldn't have asked for it to end any better.

What an enjoyable story! It was hard to put this book down as the characters are strong, unique individuals. The story line is full of grief, longing, indecision, attraction and most of all love. Two souls, both grieving a loss, finding their way back and finding their second chance at love. You do not want to miss reading this one! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

Can two people that are both grieving loss come together and make a family? Can they overcome the loss of their spouses? This is a wonderful heartfelt book about two such people...Noah meets Lucy when he comes to a grief support group run by Lucy and two of her friends..She chases him out in the rain to talk to him...He really doesn't want to deal with his grief yet..he goes home to his daughter Emma...but Lucy and Noah end up working together.. They end up spending more time together..They are attracted to each other but keep pushing it back til finally they can't any longer...But they both have demons to fight. Lucy more than Noah it seems..but attraction leads to love and family. This is such a heart warming story by Jules Bennett. It is a book I highly recommend.

The Cowboy's Second-Chance Family is a wonderfully written, heartwarming story. Lucy and Noah show that everyone grieves at their own pace and timeline and that every situation is different. I absolutely loved the flow of the story and the strength of the characters. Lucy is a police radio dispatcher, she runs a support group for those grieving and is always giving to everyone. Noah just moved to town to start over after losing his wife and his ranch. He is a police officer, raising his 4 year old daughter, and still grieving. He and Lucy connect on an emotional level and trying to deny their growing desire for each other. Both must overcome the grief and survivor's guilt in order to build a new life and love.

The Cowboy’s Second Chance Family by Jules Bennett is such a heartwarming story. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is a hard story to tell as each person deals with grief differently. Ms. Bennett did a fabulous job bringing out the emotion in her characters. I thoroughly enjoyed watching both Lucy and Noah deal with the grief and also how they taught one another how to love again after losing the most important person in their lives. This is such a wonderful story — one of my favorites of Ms. Bennett’s. I highly recommend reading The Cowboy’s Second Chance Family. It is a quick read. I’d like to disclose that I received an advance copy and this. I voluntarily read and reviewed this and this is my honest opinion.
