I'd like to think the world is full of color, but that's just not the way things work. Life is black and white and spectrum's narrow into slits of neutrality while opposites dissipate into a stoic populace of Stepford assholes and Kool-Aid drinkers. The transition was slow enough to seem like progress and deadly enough to be effective. Nobody predicted it would happen; nobody but me. The players are in position and the games ready to start. Welcome to the New World Order; welcome to Hell on Earth; this is the Apocalypse.

Being the 2nd part of a trilogy usually means a lull in the story as far as action goes while providing important information to set up the last part. The Crazy 8 doesn't do that. Inion Mathair does a great job keeping you on the edge of your seat while setting the stage for an epic finale. The introductions of Dahlia, Nelius, and Nan are done brilliantly. The story continues where The Perfect 7 leaves off and never stops with surprising twists and turns along the way. The introduction of three new "villains" is also done masterfully. Inion Mathair has set the stage for a finale with thia installment that seeing it within your own mind is the only way to truly do it justice. Just like The Perfect 7, The Crazy 8 is a must read. A truly fantastically writen piece of work that deserves a place on your bookshelf.
