John Carvalho’s new book is fascinating because it is both a memoir and a discussion of important problems that affect the world today.   He addresses many different kinds of “crises” and how, during his personal life, he has seen these crises unfold and has even lived through them.   He touches on issues like global climate change, the economy, politics, diseases, and even philosophy, psychology, and metaphysics.   The book appears to be a nonfiction work that is written in a more interesting and unique literary style that would be appealing to general audiences.   Rather than cluttering the book with references, the author focuses more on getting his point across with artistry.   He also introduces noteworthy resolutions to the problems affecting us today.   Given the present condition of the world, this book is timely and a must read.   Also, people will find the final section of the book, which discusses philosophical questions, very intriguing and illuminating.
