I enjoyed this sweet novella. It's the third I have read of the Aliso Creek series. They can be read in any order. In this story Jess is still mourning the loss of her husband who died a year ago. She is torn between holding on to that grief and moving on in her life. Preston is her financial adviser. They talk often over the phone, but Jess has been reluctant to meet him in person because of her growing feelings for him. I enjoyed watching Jess's friend Arie encourage Jess to move on her life. I have read Arie's story and liked seeing her from a different perspective. Preston is the perfect hero in this book. So fun to watch the relationship develop. I am enjoying the characters in this series a great deal. The novellas are perfect for a quick read and a peak into each of the characters' lives.

What a SWEET, TENDER, ROMANTIC story! A grieving widow... A financial counselor... And two adult step children... give you a wonderful story to cuddle up with... and then a smile with the ending! Jess loved her husband, Charlie, and he loved her back. BUT... The fact that he was so much older than her left his two adult children feeling that she as only after his money. When Charlie is taken in a terrible accident his kids fight for her share of the inheritance. Jess leaves all of this in the hands of her financial counselor, Preston. Jess and Preston have been communicating on the phone for over a year now.... The battle looks like it is coming to an end. See what happens when Jess and Preston finally meet in person... OH. SO. GOOD! You will LOVE this romantic tale!

The first book I read in this Aliso Creek series was Third Time's the Charm.  The novellas can be read in any order, but I found that the order I read them in was perfect for me.  There may be some spoilers if you read them in another order.  But not huge spoilers.  I just think that the order I read them in made sense and I knew what the author was talking about. This is the order that I read them in: Third Time's the Charm The Daisy Chain Picture Perfect (in A Timeless Romance Anthology: Spring Vacation Collection) Lost Then Found One Chance I liked this story for the healing that went on with the main character, within herself and her relationships with others.  The romance was sweet and fairly clean. Warnings: Heavy kissing, death of loved one I would let my 15 year old daughter read this book based on cleanliness, but I do not think that she would understand the situations and feelings involved with the characters.  They are definitely adult.

Realistic, but Romantic, too. Moore’s little novella is a gem.  I think most married women worry at some time or another about being widowed. Jess, Moore’s heroine, has been widowed for a year. Her mourning is portrayed artistically—not too over the top, but as painful and very real. Preston, her financial advisor, is a new suitor who has been in her life over the past year. Their courtship is also realistic, in view of her widowhood and the baggage she carries. But it is also tender and sweet. It reminded me so much of my own courtship that it brought back delicious memories. I recommend this as a clean romance to be read in an evening or an afternoon. It is well worth  the investment of your time.

Right away I was taken into Jess's story.  We meet her on the first anniversary of her husband's death.  She is sad and having a hard time coping.  Some members of "the Five" come to visit her to cheer her up, but Arie knows there is more to her sadness then what Jess is saying.  Even though Jess's husband Charlie was older then her, she truly loved him and misses him.  To make matters worse, Charlie's son and daughter are suing Jess for the money that he left her.  Her only salvation has been Preston Michaels, Jess's financial planner.  They have never met in person, and Preston is asking Jess to come to a scheduled court date.  Jess needs to gather all the courage she can to try to be strong to move on with her life. 5 out of 5 stars.  I love these series from Heather B. Moore.  Her writing is so strong and I am immediately taken into the story.  Her characters are always likable and I care about what happens to them.  I can't wait for the next installment.
