The Dark Night Whispers takes the reader back into the world of the Sprites and Ania. Ania has been depressed and heartbroken the whole Summer. She cannot wait to get back to school so she can focus on school and not Gabriel. When Adam visits Ania and tells her that he has a way to get her Gabriel, Ania refuses to go. She does not think she can survive her heart getting ripped out again. When Ania gets to school though she cannot concentrate. Her world has been turned upside down, and she does not know what to do. She keeps finding notes in her pocket, she is investigating a missing girl for the university newspaper, she has to find a cure for the Iron Curse to save Gabriel, and to top it all of a Sprite named Aideen shows up and shows interest in her. There is something about him that is a little off, but she is not sure what that is. The addition of Veronica is great. She is sweet and compassionate, and gives Ania someone to talk to about anything and everything. I think having a good friend will be great for Anai. In a lot of ways her life was sheltered and she is not as mature as she should be. As the story progresses, more mysteries arise and some are solved. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. Will Anai be able to find a cure for Gabriel? Will Gabriel and Ania ever be able to be together? The danger, the romance, the mystery, and the adventure will fully engage the reader and make them want more! I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
