I highly recommend this book to all children, and to parents and grandparents, Its wonderful and the illustrations are fabulous and enchanting. Captures our curosity and imagination!
This is the best children's book I have seen in a long time! After reading it through the first time, my 8 year announced to everyone that she knew what a googol was and then proudly proclaimed "It's a 1 with a hundred zeros!" Before long, she and her 15 year old brother were giggling as they discussed the difference between a googol and a googolplex. Even grown-ups will be amazed at the enormity of the number with the way each page shows how many postage stamps in your backyard or fingers and toes on fans in a football stadium might make up a googol. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful as they bring math to life while the story itself will have you wondering if YOU could count to a googol! This book is a must-have for homeschool families and is a great teaching tool for for educators!
