Sisters Annabelle and Maisie are fighting. But something very strange soon puts them both in a good mood. Until it gets out of control. With another nod to Dr. Seuss, a mischievous cat gets two children in trouble. The author brings this picture book into the twenty-first century by adding a reference to Google. The rhyming text is engaging and well-executed, and the illustrations by Jaime Buckley accurately portray the author’s granddaughters Annabelle and Maisie. The kids will be laughing along with these two gigglers. I received this book in return for an honest review. Full blog post (8 March):

The day didn’t start out that well. Belle and Maisie were fighting over a toy and mom had enough and sent them outside. While playing on the trampoline a strange cat approaches and touches the girls. It seems the gigglepuss has cast his spell on the girls. But when they can’t stop laughing their parents take them to the doctor to find a cure. But the story doesn’t end there. This time both Belle and Maisie are affected by the gigglepuss and the poor girls find themselves unable to stop laughing. I loved the cure for the giggle and how he giggle puss is not done with his work. I really love the gigglepuss with his purple fur and feathers. This is a great story for kids, parents, and care givers. I think this would be a great addition to any kid’s shelves. Make sure to get yourself a copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.
