Wonderful story. 894 pages. Story takes you all over from england, to greece, to italy and back to england. From present day to past it tells a wonderful historical mystery. Highly recommend.

Great story but it gets a 3 for poor editing and typos.

Great read with over 300+ pages and enough twists and turns to be a fun readable mystery with no sexual over the top scenes. You can refer it to your Grandmas and Aunts and other older kids with no shame!

I really liked how the story went back and forth between past and present. I liked how it explained itself as the story went along. This is a must read, looking forward to reading part two to the book.

This 366 page novel bounced back and forth between modern day Briton and around the time Nero had Rome burned. The chapters alternated between each era. This book was different than most mysteries, which was interesting. It was very violent at times. There is a lot of cursing, murder, rape of nuns, religious figures and young girls, kidnappings, sexual slavery, little girls being flogged to death and other abuses. The editing was pretty good. There reason I did not rate this book higher is mostly my own bias, I do not like books in which children and or animals are harmed, books that worship false deities, and books which are unbelievable. This is not chick lit. For all mystery lovers, ages 18 and up. This book is along the lines of the "DIVINCI CODE". AD

This was a very entertaining read: includes several glaring (and sometimes confusing!) punctuation errors, but they were not enough to detract from a very engrossing story with a little bit of everything. This book includes mystery, travel, history, a great blend of religion and mythology.... everything a booklover could want. If you read this and like it as much as I did, also try 'The Eight' by Katherine Neville - similar but more complex with more romance thrown in.
