Lia has had a rough life so far and unfortunately for her it is about to get much much worse. After people in her small town start getting mysteriously sick she not only has to try to protect herself but her little sister as well. Now she just has to figure out who she can trust before time runs out. Part 1 in this serial novella gives a really nice set up for the other two parts of the story. The characters were interesting and the plot was creepy and mysterious enough to keep me hooked and wanting more. The story definitely has a unique twist and I am very curious to see where it goes next. I'm my opinion The Desiccated Part 1 is worth a read.
