The Doctor's Daughter by Patricia Green

Verity tends to tell tall tales, despite her name. Everyone knows she's prone to exaggeration, and no one seems to mind. No one except the mysterious man who winds up wounded and in need of a doctor's care.

Verity doesn't know much about the mysterious patient. The newly dubbed "Mr. Smith" has lost his memory, and is of no help in filling in the blanks about his real name or his past that yawn like a bottomless canyon. While he waits for anything that sounds familiar or sparks a memory, he finds Verity's family to be gracious and supportive. He also finds that he's more than willing to administer a spanking when Verity tells one of her outrageous stories or makes mischief.

The hot sex between them heats up their time together, but can Verity accept that she's in love with a possibly married man, a possible outlaw, a possible reprobate? The truth will emerge, but the doctor's daughter might be the last one to find out.

DISCLAIMER: This book contains the spanking of adult women and explicitly described sexual scenes. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

When I read that Patricia Green finished her time off and was writing again, I did the happy dance, and my husband thought either we won the lottery or I was crazy. We didn't win the lottery but Patricia Green is back with a marvelous book.the daughter was just a few months short of medical school because of finances and in this time period, men thought women should cook, clean and raise a bunch of kids. When her father, the doctor, was out of town on a call so the daughter took care of emergencies.a severely injured man was brought in, without a stitch of clothes. He couldn't remember who he was. Our heroine spent hours by his bedside tending to his wounds. Who was this mysterious man? You'll have to read it yourself to find out. Intriguing storyline well written and the dialogue was witty and had me laughing. I recommend this book highly. I volunteered to read and review this book.

Varity, the eldest daughter of the only doctor in a western town, is the only one on hand when her father’s help is needed elsewhere. She sees the naked, abused, sunburnt man that lays naked in the dusty road, all but for his one sock. Fibbing comes easily to her, and that stirs all sorts of issues for her. In any event, they cart the man home to her father’s house where he’s settled in a guest room to heal. He has no memory…and is referred to as Mr. Smith. The tale starts there, with lots of fun, twists and turns…with a HEA in the end. It kept my interest from start to end. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

What a great theme.Usually the girls have amnesia. A really good old fashion Western book. Verity and Joshua are an interesting couple. Drama and suspense and HEA. I like that Verity was smart and educated, there were not a lot of female doctors back then. I can't wait to hear the stories on her sisters. Maybe Charity and the new Pastor. What is up with Mercy? What's her story? She seems so smart, but a little testy. I was given this as an ARC copy for a voluntary review. I have purchased Patricia Green books in the past. The Sons of Johnny Hastings is a good series also.

I really enjoyed this book from Patricia Green! I am hoping from the title that there will be more to come from Virtue, Arizona!!! I loved every bit of this book! How can you go wrong when it begins with an unconscious, beaten man wearing only one sock. The town's resident "almost" doctor; Verity, takes care of him as her father, the town doctor, is out on the job. Ahhhh, Verity! She is an absolute delight: full of "flaws" (tells tall tales, is curious about the male body and she's not afraid to do whatever it takes to keep her man safe, or just spy to see what he's actually doing!) Mr. Smith is such a great character too!! He is polite, knows his manners, and falls for Verity in a big way! He just doesn't know who he is!! The book takes us through all the ups and downs of trying to find out his past and see what the future holds for him and Verity! Her sisters are another thing altogether. We get to meet them, but not enough is told about them all, so that they remain a bit of a mystery - hopefully for future stories. I received this book from the publisher for an honest review and I am so interested in reading more about this family in Virtue...especially about Mercy!!

6th October 2016 The Doctor's Daughter ~ Patricia Green Read on 6th October 2016 5 stars ! [Draft] This message hasn't been sent.Saved on: Thu 06/10, 22:14 The Doctor's Daughter is a fabulous book for the avid spanko fan. The storyline takes us to the west of the US set about mid to late 1800 I guess. Our girl Verity trained to be a doctor like her father but after her mother passed away she had to stop her schooling and go home to help raise her younger sisters. But, when her father is called away and another emergency comes in she steps in all the time to help there too as her father knows her heart is in the profession and she is a talented almost doctor. On one of these such occasions with her father expected to be gone for most of the night in comes a patient naked as the day he was born (except one sock) unconscious and severely wounded. The men who brought this man in could only tell her that he was found in this sorry condition laying outside of town left for dead with nothing to say who he is or anything else about him. But, they were certainly not happy about an unmarried young lady taking care of a man in the altogether! lol The best they could do over her stern admonishments that she was the doctor and he was her patient was to put a hat over his unmentionables and leave her to it. Well, not to spoil the story too much when he did wake up a few days later he had no memory of who he was or why he was there or of anything really. Seeing as he had a concussion her father said it was not unlikely that the knock he had obviously had taken to the back of his head (with the huge lump to show for it) was the cause and that maybe given time his memory would come back as he healed. So, Verity dubbed him Mr. Smith and they set him up to slowly recover in the small guest room set aside for such purposes. Now, no more spoilers lol girl meets boy, boy meets girl yadda yadda yadda Ms. Verity has some very troublesome ideas about how to get herself out of a fix... whether it is just an uncomfortable conversation or doing something she knows good and darn well she shouldn't be doing. There's the rub and the fun! Its a wonderful story of intrigue (just who IS Mr. Smith really?) a hilarious story of witticism and sass with plenty of hot sexy spanking and steamy sex right up to the climax (pun intended lol) I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ms Green's offering and look forward to more of the same from her or anything else she cares to send out. I have no problem stating that I highly recommend this to anyone interested in romance books which include hot sexy spanking with hotter sex scenes throughout. Note: I was given a copy of this book from the publisher, as part of their ARC program, in exchange for an honest review.

Reading this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review was delightful. Once I started reading this story I did not want to put it down. After "Mr. Smith" was found in the road, beaten and passed out , he was brought to Dr. Bucknells office. Verity, who assists her father, took care of his injuries and helped him until he woke up. However, "Mr. Smith" could not remember anything about what happened to him or about his past. Even during this time of confusion, Verity and "Mr. Smith" felt a pull toward one another. Together they would take a chance to discover who he was and if they could have a future together. Along the way they found mystery, suspense, passion, love, and also discovered that "Mr. Smith believed in spanking the woman he loves when she tells "tall tales" or puts herself in dangerous situations. What he does know is that he is falling in love with Verity and he will let his alpha male personality shine through and take care of Verity no matter what happens or what they discover. I highly recommend reading this well written story and take this journey with this wonderful couple. Hopefully we will see more stories that involve Verity's sisters who bring so much to this story as well. Way to go!

WHO ARE YOU REALLY, MR. SMITH? When a couple of the townsmen bring in an unconscious, injured man into the doctor’s office, Verity, daughter to Dr. Bucknell must tend to him since the doctor was away on another call. Verity had been in medical school in Boston when their mother died and was summons back home to Virtue, Arizona to help take care of her siblings. Why was this man found outside of town, with a knot on the back of his head, an injured leg, and stripped of his clothing? When he finally regains consciousness, he has no memory, doesn’t know his name, where he is from, anything. The story is full of mystery, suspense, confusion, doubts, and unanswered questions. Is the man that Verity dubbed Mr. Smith, a victim, or possibly even an outlaw? The more time Verity and he are together, the more they start developing feelings. Verity has this uncanny knack for stretching the truth, and she will be caught in more than one lie. Sparks will fly, and passion will ignite, and these two will become lovers quickly. Those lies will be called out, and she will find herself spanked each time. Has Verity finally found a man who can dominate her and keep her in line? Not everyone is happy to have Mr. Smith around, and trouble will be brewing, with nefarious intent to get rid of him. Will his memory return before it is too late? The story is a fast-paced; action packed, erotic tale that takes the reader on a journey of love and passion while solving a mystery of amnesia, a heinous crime, and a chance at happiness. I do hope that we will see more of the Bucknell daughters in future stories.
