The Doctor's Husband by Ann B. Harrison

After being turned down for his dream job, Evan needs to reassess his future as he returns home for his brother's wedding. Taking a chance, he asks Dr. Denver Sinclair to accompany him as his date. He never expects her to say yes, so he is surprised when she agrees. After all, he's been trying to get her to go out with him for the last two years with no luck.

But brilliant ambitious Denver has an agenda. Her main goal in life is to prove her father wrong–she is perfectly capable of running a hospital without his connections or assistance. But to take up the reins as the administrator of Marietta Hospital, she must have community roots or marry a local. When Evan lets slip he's from Marietta, her goal is within reach. Seducing Evan is easy. She just didn't anticipate marriage to the small town doctor would ever involve her heart.

Will Denver and Evan find love in the most unexpected place–with each other?

This should have been the last book in the series. Two doctors and they are the dumbest in the group, so far. I enjoyed the first two books, although all of the books are lacking in substance. The books are cute, easy reads; however, these two characters are so stupid I hesitate to read the final book in the series because it's about the least likeable brother. If you just want a quick read, go for it but if you want well developed characters, skip this series.

I absolutely loved this story. Denver and Evan have known each other for a couple of years. Denver's overbearing father is determined to control her life, and she is determined to make her own path as a successful doctor. Evan has wanted to go out with Denver for a long time, but she kept turning him down. Then one day fate intervened and she agreed on a date, although she had alterior motives. I really loved all of the characters and the storyline on this one. There were certainly some issues with secrets and miscommunication, and Denver's father really stirred the pot every time he appeared. But the Watson Brothers' family lives and love really made the story for me. I loved the intertwined relationships between the brothers and their wives and how they brought Denver into the fold.

Easily read story that can be read in just a few hours. Family love & supporting one another through trials & life's struggles is the strong message in this book. I've read the series & have enjoyed each one.

Part of the Watson brothers series, this book brings the reader Evan's tale of finding a love with Denver back in Marrietta with twist and turns. This was the first book I had read in this series and will be looking for the other Watsons. Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions entirely my own.

I am loving these Watson Brothers. Instead of a mail order bride, we have a case of a mail order husband. Denver is a doctor, who is in need of a husband to get a job. The perfect solution to her problem is coworker, Evan. Evan has always had a crush on Denver. To make things even sweeter, the job offer is from Evan's home town of Marietta. So now Denver has a hidden agenda, will Evan go a long with it. A fun story that will keep you turning the pages. It was great to catch up with the other Watson's. It took me awhile to like Denver, I thought she was just using him. Evan is so in love with her, I didn't want to see his heart broken. I highly recommend this story along with the rest of the stories in this series.
