I really enjoyed the additions of Desdemona and Lucifer to the book. Really powerful antagonists to balance out the primary and secondary protagonists. The same can be said for Cronus, now that his resurrection has been completed. I look forward to seeing the roles he plays in the battle for the universe down the line. Also, the main protagonist Victoria was very believable: powerful; being that she's the flesh and blood of the Goddess of all that is Magickal, but not without flaws: her disdain for the god Ares and her lack of patience. In Shevat, I must say that her headstrong attitude worked against her in the battle with Lucifer, despite wielding Hecate's power. And I would like to admit that I was impressed with the forms that the twins received and all their power. I could've guessed before I read further into the book that Demun would want to rule over the realm that formerly belongs to Desdemona. But I didn't expect Brandon to become the new primordial god of all things dark. That was a curveball. Overall, I give this book five out of five stars for the action and the perfectly bloomed romance between the war god and Victoria.
