She was in love with her best friend's brother.

He was known as the Delicious Duke, a sexy, out-of-her-league billionaire engaged to a princess. He was off-limits until that night Imogen dared kiss him and he kissed her back. For a few hours he had been hers.

Now Julian Walkden was back. Jilted by his fiancée, he thinks Imogen would make a suitable replacement bride. He promised to give her everything as his wife, except the one thing she needed...his love.

The perfect royalty couple! Imogen or Genie is the typical girl who secretly in love with a childhood friend. The difference? The childhood friend is a duke! Julian... The mysterious and delicious duke who doesn't like to wear shirt. He is the perfect guy for Imogen yet it was difficult for this man to admit his real feelings. I loved this story a lot. I smiled, cried and felt the characters especially Imogen who truly deserved happiness. I hated Gray and quite scared of him yet I appreciated him at the end. Charlie the goldfish story was superb! Thank you so much for the ARC! Reading The Duke Takes a Bride inspired me to write a historical romance novel in the future! I highly recommended this story!

I loved this story. I mean everyone has someone that you've secretly had a crush on or were in love with. and that is definitely our heroine Imogen. She's been in love with Julian since forever. I mean when she used to visit her god father at their estate every summer her crush grew and grew! Being best friends with his sister makes getting over him so much more difficult! But Julian doesn't do love. Everyone he's loved has left him. After a spicy hook up, things don't end well and Imogen runs away from Julian. when Julian needs a bride Imogen just might be what he's looking for. The story was sweet, funny, spicy and heartbreaking at times. I loved the HEA! I received an ARC for my honest review.

Love the book! Fun and entertaining with its quick humor! The affection for Clark the goldfish is very endearing, as well as Imogen's friendship with Maggie Delicious Duke is very sexy indeed! The story makes you feel from sad, happy, in love and very well entertained. Very well written and no boring moments, Imogen is so cute and fierce in her own way. Looking forward to reading more from the author.
