This book has love, loss, pain and heartache in it. Grace saw what love can do to and for a woman. Her mother passes away after her son and heir Samuel was born. Grace's father was devastated and Grace was forced to take on role of Lady Boldon at the age of fifteen. Grace took care of her dad and her brother. Christopher Roker [Kit] made a name for himself in the military. The life of the army suits him. Then tragedy strikes with a horse riding accident killing Carson [Kit's brother]. Carson was married to Lady Eliza and she was carrying Carson's baby. After the accident Kit; now had a role he never wanted or expected and new responsibilities. The Wicked Earls’ Club becomes his refuge but, it cannot ease his emptiness. To try to escape his brothers memory/reputation, Kit decides to visit the family estate for the summer. What he didn't know was that Lady Grace was also visiting from a neighboring estate and she becomes a welcome distraction for Kit. Kit has a chance to return to the Military life but, he finds himself torn between his old lifestyle and the lure of Grace [who is great and a bit unwilling]. I truly loved this story!! Want to know what happens with Grace, Eliza and Kit? Well buy and read this book. I received an advance copy of this story in return for an honest review.

Grace was intelligent and kind. I really lived her interactions with her family. Her little brother Sam was delightful. Even though this was a novella it read and felt like a full length novel. Some of the other books in the series feel rushed. Kit is my favorite hero so far. He was more genuine from the very start and did not have to be reformed. It was rather refreshing. Having said that, I am enjoying the Wicked Earl series and will be reading the rest of the books. If you sent quick reads and to discover new authors i recommend this series.

The Earl Of Sunderland by Aubrey Wynne is a fairly short historical romance, a perfect choice for those with limited reading time. Ms. Wynne has given us a well-written book full of outstanding characters. Grace wants only to care for her father and brother after her mother's death. Kit is a military man, forced into being the earl when his brother dies. Their story has many ups and downs, twists and turns. There is plenty of drama, humor and spice to keep readers glued to this awesome book. I loved every page of The Earl Of Sunderland and look forward to my next read by Aubrey Wynne. The Earl Of Sunderland is book 4 of The Wicked Earl's Club Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

What a fun idea the Wicked Earls Club is! Different heroes, heroines and the authors who wrote them. The connection is that the heroes belong to the club until they are engaged or married. This Earl, Kit, isn’t as wicked as some of the others as he inherited the title when his twin brother died. He never wanted the title as he liked being in the military and appreciates the support he receives from the club members. His sister-in-law, Eliza, is pregnant, and he hopes she has a son. Eliza’s uncle and her cousins, Grace and Samuel, visit the estate where she happily lives with her in-laws. Grace is grown and avoids marriage with the excuse of helping her widowed father with Samuel, age 5. Kit would like to marry Grace, but will she agree? Samuel adds lots of fun and laughter to this story. This is a good novella, but short enough I do not want to spoil anything. Obviously, there will be a HEA, but the fun is in getting there. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

This is the first time Aubrey wrote a historical romance, and I would say it's awesome! I really love everything about the book. Kit and Grace made a beautiful couple. Grace's past and Kit's struggle post-war were touching and made me cry couples of times. This is one of Aubrey's best work as yet. One of the special character for me is Carson, Kit's twin brother. I'm truly sad that he's gone and he's the reason Kit and Grace got together in the first place. I wish we get to know him much more, the changed man he is after meeting Eliza. I truly admire the way Carson was described. This book is a must read, and I want to read more of Wicked Earls' Club series.

I loved Grace and Kit's story!! Grace had to forgo part of her childhood when she lost her mother at a young age and had to take over the running of the estate. This has made her a very independent young woman. She doesn't think she wants to get married because she believes that she will lose the freedom that she currently has. Kit has just lost his best friend/twin brother and having just got back from war, Kit isn't interested in getting married anytime soon. Kit and Grace have an immediate attraction for each other when they meet at a family wedding, but they don't get to spend time with each other until a year later. Kit has to take over the role of Earl of Sunderland and has come home to do so. Grace is visiting to help her grieving cousin (the wife of the former Earl of Sunderland). I loved watching them come to know one another and fall in love. This was a pretty short story (167 pages), but Wynne did a wonderful job of not making their romance feel rushed. This is my first book by Wynne, but it certainly won't be my last!

Well-written historical romance with a bit of everything – a tragedy, a conflicted hero, a strong and fragile heroine, interesting characters, and a happily ever after. Characters are well-developed and have layers and depth. The characters genuinely care about one another and want the best for one another. Almost stealing the show is 5-year-old Sammy who brings out the best in all. Grace and Kit are so perfect together and I really liked seeing how they healed one another. They both won me over at their first meeting at the wedding. A sweet, clean romance set mostly in 1815 London.

A delightful romance, but for quite different reasons than normal for me. I enjoyed the developing romance between Kit and Grace, but at times it felt too physical and steamy. On the other hand, their was a perfect match. They completed each other--Grace brought Kit peace and Kit understood Grace's independence. What charmed me the most was Kit's interactions with Samuel, Grace's five year old brother. The antics and attention he gave was unique in a standard novel, but truly delightful. Overall a fun Regency romance worth the time.

3.5 stars I liked this book and would read more by this author. I have read another book of hers and find I enjoy her writing style. I enjoyed the storyline of this book and found the characters to be likeable and engaging. Grace's little brother was a cute addition to the story. I didn't feel quite the connection between Grace and Kit but I also appreciated the lack of instalove. Overall, I feel the book is worth the price and I am glad I read it. Also, I have not read the previous Wicked Earl's Club books and I don't feel it is necessary to be able to enjoy this story. I didn't feel like I was missing anything. The club and members are mentioned but it isn't a large part of the story. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review. .

Meet the newest member of the Wicked Earls’ Club: Earl of Sunderland. Christopher (Kit) Roker never imagined he’d be the Earl of Sunderland. Sure, his twin brother was a bit of a wild man but when he’s tragically killed, Kit is forced to end his illustrious career in the military and return home. He’s introduced to the Wicked Earls’ Club and its illustrious members. While grieving the loss of his brother he meets Lady Grace, a beautiful woman who makes him laugh and his grief lessen. Grace watched in horror six years ago as her mother gave up her life in childbirth. Not only did she lose her beloved mother but had to become a mother to her newborn brother and companion to her father. She loves her independence and has no interest in becoming a wife or mother. But things change in her heart as she spends day after day with the Earl of Sunderland. When he shares his feelings for her, she flees in terror. It’s only after being apart does she realize her true feelings for Kit. Can she bury her fear and let in love or will she forever be alone? The whole time I was reading this book, I kept saying to myself how this reminded me of Pride and Prejudice. Is Aubrey Wynne the reincarnation of Jane Austen? Only she knows for sure, but the similarities are there. A tragedy or two, heroine both strong and fragile, hero conflicted about his feelings, secondary characters fleshed out, humor and wit peppered throughout the dialogue as well as a happy ending. Best Regency Romance I’ve read in a long time and highly recommend! My Rating: 5+ stars
