About the Author

Ruth Ann Nordin has written seventy romances, ranging from Regencies to historical westerns to contemporaries. She plays with other genres from time to time, but her first love is romance. She has been happily married for eighteen years to a sweet and funny guy, and they have four sons, who are all taller than Ruth now that they're 12, 13, 14, and 16. The good thing is she doesn't need a ladder, and there's always someone to take care of a mouse that squeezes its way into her Montana home. She considers herself very lucky to have led such a charmed life. Being able to play with characters and create stories is just icing on the cake. Hopefully, she'll get to keep doing this many years to come.

Just under 190 pages that I would say was more of a novella than a full length novel. This book has potential to be a great book. There could have been a little more details in developing the relationship more thoroughly.

I totally love Ruth Ann Nordin books. This one was just as captivating as all the other books I have read. I love the characters and Iris and Warren were so cute. One comment regarding virgins..... I don't understand why most of the time authors do not mention the blood????? Or they mention it to be just a few drops. Sure some women are like that but some are gushers!! Just saying! Loved this story!!!

Another nicely done installment of the Marriage by Arrangement series. We finally get to see what makes Warren, the Lord Steinbeck, tick. His morally superior attitude came off a pretentious and annoying. I liked watching him realize how his behavior has effected others and work to make changes. The way he works at pursuing his wife is endearing and at moments humorous. Iris has spent an entire season being ridiculed by rivals at the ton and ignored by gentlemen. I loved her brilliant mind and that when she lets her guard down with Warren she amazes herself and him. While the beginning of their relationship starts off rough they reach a place where they each truly love, care for and support one another. There is a bit of cloak and dagger, a bit of spice and some really sweet moments. Adult read
