In 2009, the extinction of man from planet Earth begins; a failed terraforming agent dubbed ‘EDEN’ wreaks ecological devastation in the form of a grass, able to grow nearly everywhere and on everything…including people. A green new world begins, one that doesn’t have room for man in it.

Years later, one of the survivors of the Green Apocalypse-a once decorated war hero, now scavenger, named Connor comes across a little girl in the greening Nevada desert. A parent in better times, he can’t bring himself to leave a child to fend for itself in the hostile world. Taking her in, he soon discovers that the child is immune to the EDEN organism. She is mankind’s last chance of escaping extinction and is being hunted for it. Before long the enduring scavenger is forced to choose; protect the girl or let the hunters take the child and humanity’s future with her.

This book may be sci-fi but so possible in real life .The greed of  the human race for perfection in things could lead to so powerful a product to take over the world .This was such a great book ,my friends and i are patiently awaiting   Book II.
