I was walkng down the street towards my house, quickening my pace since it was dark. Not only would my mother be furious with me, ive heard bad things happen in my town after dark. I was only three blocks from my house when i heard footsteps behind me. I whirled around but... there was nobody there. Hugging myself, i started walking faster, starting to get a little scared. I had only gone two yards when someone jumped in front of me and grabbed me! I screamed as loud as i could, just enough before a rough hand covered my mouth. I struggled as my captor searched my pockets, front and back, and, finding nothing, put a knife at my throat. "Im finished. You have nothing. So your worth nothing." "Okay", i thought through my panic, "first of all, im pretty, and second, didnt he notice i have a purse?" Suddenly i felt the tip of the knife start digging into my neck, and the next second i felt something warm trickling down my throat. "Blood!", i thought. I started to see stars, and was about to pass out, when a person jumped on top of my captor, making him let go of my throat. I collapsed on the ground from pain and vaguely heard my rescuer hiss(wait-hiss?),"You touch her again and you die. This is a warning." Then i heard footsteps, my captor running away. Then i felt strong arms lift me up, and although the bleeding had stopped, i fainted.******My eyes fluttered open, and i noticed i was in my bedroom, my mother standing next to my bed with a worried look. I realized there was a bandage on my neck, and i said weakly,"How-how'd i get here?" My mother sighed in relief and said,"A boy came to the front steps carrying you, saying you were attacked. He asked if he could carry you to your room, i said okay, and he did. Sweet boy, really seemed to care about you. But i wonder what he was doing out past midnight... same for you, young lady." My mouth formed an O at the thought that a boy carried me home. I then felt guilty since i didnt call mother on my cell to tell her id be late. Speaking of... "Wheres my purse?", i asked. My mother smiled and pointed to my desk, where my purse sat, along with my iphone5. I sighed in relief. Then my mother said,"Now. Tell me why you were out past midnight." I sighed and said,"I had to stay and help clean up the public library. And its big, so it takes so much time, you know?" My mother sighed and got up. "Go to sleep. You have school tommorow." Then she left the room, and i drifted off to sleep.
