Kyle Rexler's life couldn't be better, and now the former U.S. Army Ranger has finally met the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Unfortunate circumstances are about to put his pending proposal on hold. Half a world away, Salar Sherzai is finishing an intricate scheme to get his son released from the Guantanamo Bay detention facility. Rexler put him there many years ago. Sherzai's eldest son is dead. Rexler is responsible for that, too. But Sherzai has three younger sons - the willing tools to execute his vengeful plan.

On the first day of July, Sherzai waits confidently as he fasts. It is beginning, both Ramadan and his cruel vendetta. His remaining sons - now all full-grown and indoctrinated in his cause - are in America to lead the strikes to free their imprisoned brother and other high-level terrorist operatives.

Sherzai promises ten calamities on U.S. soil, terrorizing Rexler and the nation with public messages containing clues, riddles, and symbols denoting the time, method, and location of each assault. Can Rexler and U.S. authorities decipher the explicit messages and stop the devastating attacks before they occur?

Given prior knowledge of the ten attacks by Sherzai, all those involved are unaware of the fatal "Eleventh Message," and for whom it is intended.

About the Author

Ken Barnett is a retired construction accountant who lives on the West Coast with his wife Barbara. He majored in journalism in high school and is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. Ken began writing again after a spinal cord injury severely limited his mobility and "The Eleventh Message" is his first novel. While he already does laundry and dishes, his wife told him he had to find something else to do with his time or start performing more household chores. He figured that writing was a better option and your purchase of this book will enable him to keep pen in hand (or fingers on the keyboard), leaving the dusting and vacuuming to others. For that he is forever grateful. Readers can follow Ken's writing carer and purchase his upcoming books online at
