After reading this I knew what the khemer rouge were about. For a few to recruit or force into service, to spread destruction, pain and suffering through starvation and disease and to torture till death those, though innocent, must confess to crimes against the regime, and falsely name others so that they to will be purged to enable the revolution to follow through untill the bloody end. This book describes the terror of the every day world in cambodia under the khemer rouge. Couldn't put it down.
