I had just finished a very emotional book and one that was not worth reading, so I needed a light yet fulfilling story. This was it. We have a somewhat professor (visiting) who is an author with a writing block. His new virgin TA (Teaching Assistant) is hot. "Really? You had to go and send me this? Yeah, because I need more complications in my life." What I liked from the beginning was besides the instant lust, they talked and found things they liked and shared. There was no Die Hard movie reference in this story. Yeah. They actually discussed which Shakespeare work they preferred. Nice. They made me smile. The entire book made me smile. I really liked that. They faced Brendan's possible coming out to his hockey teammates. They discussed the possible repercussions to Scott's career. They had insane misunderstandings. But they kept trying. I liked some of the other characters. Except for one, Tyler, we didn't get to know them but they were intriguing, especially Justin and the Coach. At the end I had a happy feeling. I enjoyed the read.
The first time I had read this story was when it was part of the Campus Cravings bundle. I thought it was really well written and a story that I could really sink my teeth into. After Ms. Carr did the additional parts to the story, I thought that the story went from really good, to great. I feel like she was able to take a story that didn’t really need any serious closure, and she brought some extra information into it. The new ending of the story was really great, and it was nice to be able to catch up with the guys. Overall, I did still enjoy the story and I can’t wait for more from Ms. Carr in the future!
