Overview

Does the Emperor's New Clothes Fairytale have any meaning in today's sophisticated business world? If so, then this question must be answered and the lessons learned. Fairytales survive throughout the ages because of their clear moral and the truth they attempt to tell. If today's businessperson does not learn his lesson, an embarrassing part of his anatomy, usually reserved for sitting upon will be exposed, metaphorically speaking. Today a successful business leader needs to be able to give and most of all receive negative feedback. Successful companies will continue to develop this ability in their workforce. Unsuccessful companies without the golden truth obtained from honest feedback, will continue to parade down the street naked! This book is not a fairy-tale itself, however it will draw parallels between the characters, motives and moral of this famous fairy-tale and today's business world.

About the Author

Our books are about friendship, believing in one another and a drive to challenge the status quo of the established business world. The journey leading to our books started over 10 years ago when the 3 of us met at a little village on the outskirts of Oxford in England, United Kingdom, at a strategy residential related to our MBA studies.

After finalizing our MBA studies and despite busy careers in different parts of the world, we continued to keep in close and frequent contact. As a result of our numerous discussions over the years and sharing ideas from our different business practices, the idea for our books slowly emerged.

As active business practitioners, we experienced so many "corporate change initiatives" that despite being launched with a lot of "rah-rah" and backed by world-class consultants were at best leading nowhere.
