The End of the Third Age (History of the Lord of the Rings #4) based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
In this book, lovingly accounted to the uttermost detail by Tolkien's son Christopher, you get to see the amazing creative process JRR went through, and a pretty cool couple of different versions of the Scouring of the Shire (a favorite part of ROTK personally) that paints Frodo to be more heroic and instrumental in everything after the Ring is destroyed. I much enjoyed this book. Top rate.
This is a great way to end the History of the Lord of the Rings books! This book goes into a lot of detail about Mt. Doom, and the Scouring of the Shire and gives you a lot of information about it. The epilogue at the end is worth reading the whole series just to get to it, to finally see how Tolkien might have ended the book is amazing. I was very excited to see what happend to Sam after everyone had gone to the Gray Havens, and now I know! Every one should read this book, it is amazing!
