he parts in this book about traditional Yoga were good. However, the "Energy Medicine" part of the was totally confusing and I did not see how it connected with traditional yoga practice. I thought "Energy Medicine" had something do to with Eastern Medicine like the Chakras or Chi. However, it seems to be something totally different. The book did not convince me to learn more about Energy Medicine and to add it just seem to complicate a Yoga practice to add it. (I find it hard enough to do basic meditation and yoga routines. I am of the Keep It Simple School of thought in terms of exercise and self care). Furthermore, I thought there was too much theoretical information for what is marketed as a self-help book. I think self-help books should be practical and action oriented with just enough of the theory to convince you that it is worthwhile to do the practice. The straight yoga parts of the book were good. There were many interesting Yoga poses demonstrated. Thus, I found this well written as a straight yoga book but I did not like the part about Energy Medicine. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
