It all starts when the woman he once loved comes back into his life and asks him to find her runaway daughter. But what starts as an innocent search for a missing young girl, on the mean and unforgiving streets of Brooklyn, quickly escalates into a life or death struggle for him to prove his innocence. The Face of innocence is a tale of greed, blackmail, forbidden lust and murder.

Steven Cross is a relatively new Author whose work is definitely worth your time to read. The Characters drive the storyline and keep you engaged in their world as each step in this Mystery/Drama unfold. Ozias is truly that every guy next door who isn't looking for trouble but it finds him anyway. I Truly look forward to Many More Books from Mr. Cross

If you like a stories with characters that sizzle, snappy dialogue and prose that pop then The Face of Innocence is for you. I found this book hard to put down. It is a story about a young man who essentially, doing a favor for a friend, gets caught up in a plot so deep that only his quick wit and the help of a sharp gangster can save his hide. It is a powerful, compelling, story driven by convincing, dynamic, characters that I just couldn¿t get enough of. Every chapter is lively and fresh and there is never a dull moment. This is a well-told story and a damn good read.
