The Fallen in a beautifully woven combination of sci-fi and romance. Too often these genres will come together, and one or the other will suffer, but not in this book! Dawn Carter writes in such a way that we are able to journey through the centuries of Nira's life along with her. We feel Synaria's determination to destroy an evil she unleashed upon humanity. We hurt with Stephanie over her parent's abandonment. We soar with all three women as they find their true places in this world. In this one book you will find all you could possibly want: vampires, magic, witches and warlocks, gods and goddesses, romance, and the ever classic good versus evil! After having read other books by Dawn Carter, I'm not surprised that this book leaves me hoping for a sequal!
Wow, I am speechless, I read this when a friend told me about the book. I didn't know what to expect because vampire books have just become boring and predictable. Not this book. There is so much to this story that I didn't want to put it down until I finished reading it. This hits all areas of the supernatural, and it comes together masterfully. I don't want to give away the story, but if you are as bored as I was with vampire, witches, ghost and all that we cannot see. You will find a new way of loving an old warn out storyline. This author is brilliant, and I am going to search for her other books.
