Short but good! I'll be checking out the next book to see what happens!

Great read! Dragon shifters and vampires rule the lands with iron fists. People are sacrificed to the dragon shifters. Chloe knows its not not right, but all she wants to do is hide her powers and marry Wayne, her best friend. Who knew a game of "spin the bottle" would ruin her life! Well written, great plot and characters, really looking forward to the rest of the series.

holy hell Batman what a fantastic book. The story line and the characters were great and that made the book fantastic. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book.

That's a big mouthful for such a small book, but let me tell you, there is just enough story to be dangerous. The Vampirii and Drakonin seem to be what they sound like: Vampire like creatures and Dragon like creatures. The few we meet seemed equally intriguing, and I'm looking forward to learning more about what they both are exactly. Chloe is a main character who I'm already liking as well. I'd like to learn more about her abilities. The Fallen Vampire was a tease of what's to come, and I'm excited to read more. The Fallen Vampire by Beata Blitz was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

I received this book for an honest review. I love words but am terrible at them so here we go... This is the first time being asked to review a book and wanted to help as much as I can. (I am much better at rating with the stars. LOL) My first thought was of course its another Vampire book, don't get me wrong I like Vampire books but in my opinion they have been over done. With that being said I was pleasantly surprised it was not your typical Vampire series. I thought the World and Characters were very well developed with a unique story. I read the entire book in one sitting left wanting more. I look forward to continuing this series. Thank you very much Bearta for the copy and hope at least my star rating will help you get more people interested. :)

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. When an accident reveals Chloe’s psychic abilities, the community condemns her as a witch and threatens to burn her alive. Attempting to escape into the next territory, she yearns for acceptance. While on the run Chloe finds herself in the middle of a battle between the Cloud Lord (shape-shifters from another dimension) factions. A fight between the rulers of her people, the Drakonin (dragon-shifters) and the Vampirii (vampires). By sheltering a fallen Vampirii warrior, her destiny is radically altered. If she can survive the test of her resolve, she may just reach a place where her latent powers can bloom. This first book in the FLUX & FIRMAMENT series sets the stage by introducing us to a new universe created when a catastrophic experiment at the Large Hadron Collider led to a collision between our world and the dimension of the Cloud Lords. With well written and a plot that seems well thought out, I really enjoyed this one and look forward to seeing what happens next.

I agreed to review this book in exchange for a copy of this book. My first thought as I started reading was that there was no way I was going to like it. Man was I wrong, I cannot wait to read the rest of the series! The story is set in a post apocalyptic society where the Cloud Lords aka dragon people have wiped out most humans in their war with Night Flyers aka vampires. Those lucky enough to survive the war have a new religion and a ton of new rules like no art or birthdays and even limiting use of technology like cars and lights. Chloe has powers and she accidentally uses them at a hidden birthday party and what is done to witches in ignorant societies, yep she's going to be burnt at the stake. I admit the story sounds cheesy, but the imagery in the book is so well done I love the descriptions of the landscape. It really puts you there in a war torn society. The characters are interesting and make normal teenage mistakes like stop a spinning bottle from landing on someone else so you can kiss your crush. I think this book will be a huge hit with teens, I can't wait to read the rest.

I was given this book in an exchange for an honest review and I thoroughly enjoyed this! This is one of the dystopian novels that has stuck from the rest for me. The the excerpt from the ember scroll at the beginning is really what set the tone for me. Earth is stuck in the middle of two warring powers. I like story of what life on Earth is like under these conditions. The characters are very interesting, the main character in particular. The more I read, the more questions I had, and I could not put the book down. I can't wait to see where the author goes with this. This has the potential to be a really good series.
