I disagree with the previous rating. This book has a wealth of information, and for someone who has the time to thoughtful read through it, can gain a lot of comfort and knowledge about this very common, yet much hushed subject. Mental dis-ease is something that takes time to understand. There are no quick fixes, and sometimes no actual cure. However, this book is an invaluable resource written in an easy to digest way. For such an important subject you need to take the time to read this book. Go to the chapters that interest you the most at first. Read the intro and first 25 pages at least. Of course, if that is too much for you, seek guidance with your family doctor or elsewhere. There is a plethora of additional places to seek help in the back of the book. Best of health to you and your!
I do NOT recommend this book. It's way too long - not written for your average reader who is upset about ill loved one. Has too much anecdotal, irrelevant information about the author & all his accomplishments. I don't believe this will be helpful to readers!
